New Grower Harvest timing question, please indulge...

At the risk of being redundant please indulge me and try to explain the timing issue from this point of view.

Buddha White Dwarf strain allegedly a 60 day grow. Many on this forum think this probably equates to a 70-90 day grow in real life. I am day 49. If the peak harvest window is let's say 5 days, but we're supposed to lay off nutes 2 weeks before harvesting how do we anticipate the 5 day window 2 weeks in advance? I think it'll be challenging enough as a 1st timer to recognize peak (trics, leave's coloring) when it stares me in the face let alone 2 weeks ahead. I'm not sure I'll know if the trichomes go from clear to cloudy. In pictures there isn't always a profound difference.

I've found that 70 days is pretty consistent amongst most autos. Why don't you plan on 70 and start your cleansing (plain water) on day 54. A recent pic would help :Sharing One:

Im no expert, but judging upon what I have seen in journals and comments, when most of the pistils have turned brown and large fan leaves start to significantly yellow is a good time to start flush. Also it depends what qualities you are looking for in your product, the longer you wait, the 'stonier' it will get...

turtle, turtle, turtle, how many of your ancestors and relatives dead carcasses are strewn across the worlds highways, because they were looking too far ahead at where they wanted to be and not looking realistically at where they were at?

Get through a few successful grows, I can assure you that the difference of a few days at your level of growing is not going to have a significant effect on your end products potency.
If you have a good grow until the end, let the buds mature to a decent size and age, give em a good flush, and then give them a good dry and cure, you should be satisfied with the result.
Sweating over "the perfect window" is a nuance that can be as much BS as hard science.

Again, get a few grows down. Don't harvest early. (I have not met a newbie yet that has been tempted to let his plants go too long!) Seriously, if it is still producing a significant amount of fresh pistils to drying pistils it is not finished.

I don`t use lights, tent etc. I reckon greenhouse/outdoor scenario approx 12 weeks(80-90+ days), but I guess it depends on weather/temps and strain. (personal pref. R.E. high/stone)

Forget about what the seed banks claim. If you make the switch from veg to flowering nutes as soon as they show pre flowers around week 3 they will finish in the advertised times. But if you keep them on veg nutes until vertical growth stops, around week 5-6, they will go longer but they will also yield a lot more. Just watch your big fan leaves. When they turn about half yellow you'll have about 2 weeks to go before they are finished. Start your final cleanse then.

My fan leaves have tended to be yellow for an awful long time. Maybe a consequence I never over fed. They are in fact pretty yellow. I removed 2 this morning, ones that were on the crispy side. The little plant is very little, but greener. Sown the same time. Here's the latest picture of them for you and the poster just above who asked to see one.
