Would there be any advantage to go 24 hours on the light for the last 6 days?

hmmm but if ya only got 6 days,its worth a shot to give the plants every bit of light you can,if you shutting up shop for a bit

Chopping too early usually leads to hay smelling buds (terps haven't fully devolped), racey smoke, lack of flavor.. Even in a paper bag, the buds will take 5-7 days to dry before you have smokable product. You might to want to allow for that in your 2 week time frame. Going 24/0 for the next week won't make any noticable difference at this point. That plant is still in the flower development stage. It's not getting any riper any time soon. Maybe look into hash making.. You'd probably get a better quality product from the hash than ypu would from smoking the flower.

I would have thought upping to 24 hours light would have an adverse effect.

Does decreasing the amount of light time speed up the ripening?
I did it once about 20 years ago. Had to leave my apartment 2 weeks before harvest. I gradually reduced lights-on time by an hour each day until it was 6 hours on for the last few days. It came out ok. Please classify this as an ‘old wives tale’ though.
