Indoor Has anyone ever used a portable a/c unit? Looking for feedback...

Hey everyone! Well spring is here and my grow room is in need of some cooling down. I am looking into a "portable" a/c unit to put in my grow room as it is in my work shop which doesn't have A/C. I have found a few 8000-12000 BTU which would be fine for my shop (under 100 sq ft). Just looking to see if anyone has used these before and if there is anything I should look out for. Just trying to keep my girls cool!

I use one myself, in the grow room where I have the tent (not inside the tent...that would be too much). It really helps in summer, I schedule the lights off period at midday when heat is worse and the A/C goes on for those 4 hs, and later, during lights on, if needed I add 1 hr every now and then

I have looked into them a few times to combat our 115+ degree summers which jack up temps in the house. I just am too lazy to cut another hole in the cieling to vent the AC exhaust out of the room. I pretty much shut down growing during the late summer months because running home AC during peak hours is not worth my small personal grow. Some units create condensation and drip into a resevoir that you have to empty regularly as well so keep that in mind. If i had a dedicated room id spend the money on a mini split system.
