Has anyone had success with electric bug traps like...

Hello all!! I hope everyone is doing well

I was transplanting my babies out of the 20/20/20 soil (Confused with growing regular cannabis) into a more appropriate one and I noticed there were gnats. There don't seem to be any in the new soil but I want to do what I can to prevent any kind of infestation.

I am going to use the methods you have all shared but I was curious if anyone has had any success using a type of products like this for gnats or other bugs?

I figured this wouldn't be such a bad thing to have around but if it won't help my issue, why spend the money, right?

Bug zappers work amazingly for flying insects (at least good ones do.) If you get a powerful one, you'll hear a loud cracking noise every time one gets fried lol. As for gnats around your grow area tho, idk if it will work, because they generally work by attracting the bugs to the light, but grow lights are much brighter and would probably overpower that effect. At night it might work tho if you have a dark period.

Heehee! I was so looking forward to listening to the bugs frying but I never thought about the attraction: (

I'm really concerned about some of these bug traps for gnats because some of them say not to use if a person is a room for a period of four hours. Four hours!!???!!! That is the craziest warning I've ever read! I have children and I would be using these traps in a bathroom so is someone gonna pass out while they're using the restroom??!!?? Does not sound very healthy to me.

Are u referring to hot shot no pest strips? I use them sparingly they will destroy anything pest related in ur grow room I had a nast spidermite problem and I had ordered mighty wash online but I wanted to attack the problem before the might wash had arrived so I picked up the hot shot at Walmart for 6$ and within 72hrs everything was destroyed. But my grow cabinet is located in the same room were I play video games and where my cat lived when I would spend more than 30 min in there I would start coughing and had a scratchy throught my cat also didn't eat so I used it for 3 days and put it into a ziplock bag and will take it out if I ever come across a mite. It has been about 3 weeks I have no mites but the gnats are back I also have to give a big praise to mighty wash it destroyed the mites on my outher plants that had em and them never came back and its alot safer. So forr my conclusion just respect the hot shots and u will be fine they are no joke.
