Extraction Hash Making

I have kief box and a pollen press and was wondering what the best way to make hash, sounds simple enough add keif to pollen press and screw it down is this hash or does it need to be heated or dried anything?

how about storing hash?

We don't ever have any hash here and haven't smoked any in years so this will be a real treat ! ,Any tips would be appreciated.

If you just press it, you need to smoke it/put a lighter to it, to make kief activate. Or you can decarb it in the oven at 252* for 27 minutes in a covered dish. After you press plain keif, if you have a torch, just hit it for a few seconds and the puck will not break apart. You can get away without heat, if you aren't taking it on the go, but for home use, I'd just press it and drop it in your jar. You can always decarb it in the oven and mix 1 tablespoon in a cup of honey for some great medables! Goes good on ice cream, piece of toast, anything really, the recipe is in my signature, Magic Honey!

Thanks Briman ! I will try heat it once I get enough to press a puck for on the go
I am tryin to use up some of the smaller buds from my last grow.

I have never tried a edible yet, the though freaks me out a bit cause I get kind over stoned at times and not sure of dosage but might try that honey....does sound good.

If you try the honey, only take a small teaspoon at a time, wait a 1/2 hour and take a little more until desired affect! I take a little less than a level teaspoon and am just right!

Briman love the graph you posted, and saw that you recommended 252 for 27 min, why not the 293 for 7 min to get more THC content? I'm guessing cuz of higher temp its easier to burn or mess up, so just do lower temp for longer time to be safe?

Your likely to ruin some THC if you try the higher temps, as it also has less time to cool enough to stop the process. I use the this formula but I set my oven to 250F for 25 minutes. I do this because its almost impossible to get better than =/- 5 degrees F accuracy. Probably a better way to decarb would be in a double boiler using an oil bath and a candy thermometer.

Found this a while back when I was getting into baked goods...pretty good break down....test was done at 240 degrees.

Thought I would update that I upgraded to a set of Bubble Bags and look forward to the big bag of trim more than the buds anymore

I use fresh frozen trim and popcorn it looks a little green but should lighten up when dry.
