Live Stoner Chat Hating on autoflowering strains!!

Those guys that are blind to the power of autos are wayyyyy behind the times. Many of the autos today stand up against any photos. If "they" refuse to believe it, they are blind and/or ignorant to the truth. Autos are the way of the future. Just remember we are all bud growers(not stalk growers). As a guy that grows fairly large photos, I can say that it doesn't matter how large a plant is...only matters how much bud there is on it!

My honest opinion about auto's is i do believe they will become the favorite of the masses,to the layman, as soon as you start talking light cycles and what to do there attention is gone and it seems to complicated for them, autos can do it all in a short time with no fuss and that's where it counts isn't it? I personally probably will never go to another photo strain..what's the point when i get more than I need from an auto to keep me happy?? cheers.:)

I've got ten photos vegging with my autos. When the temps climb in June, 'll harvest my autos and flip 12/12 so in off during the heat of the day while flowering BIG plants. ;)

Then when they're done, back to autos in September.
It's part of my heat management/electricity consumption management strategy.

There is a place for both autos and photos in my garden, and there always will be....until I can manage to pull 3lbs+ minimum off an auto, it will remain that way. ;)

I think that it largely depends on why you're growing and what your end goals are. Say, for example, someone who has bad pain, seizures, or another condition that they are trying to generate enough through their own small grow to treat. They might be drawn to the consistency that they can get from a mother plant and clones. On the other side of the spectrum, for a hobbyist like me that's doing it for fun and to sample as many varieties of smoke as possible autos are the perfect match. But at the same time I'm growing out a couple of photo seeds to try out mainlining, so a good mix of the two is also possible. Like I said, just depends on what you're goals and reasons for growing are.

That is the biggest advantages I see in a photo, the ability to have an exact replica of a plant. You know exactly what smoke its gong to be, based on the mother plant. And of course yields on autos all depend on a nice smoother start, where mistakes on a photo can be made, as you manipulate when you are going to trigger flower, and can veg it out a little longer....

I have no doubt you'll be very happy, an outdoor Autoultimate is a great idea!

Hope so man!! Growing out the AU as well as Colorado Cookies, Daiquiri Lime and Brooklyn Sunrise all outdoors.

I think they hating because it's a lil easier, and photos are real cheap. If you add electricity, seeds, and stuffs, you realize that 18h/day is real expensive. 1000W for a lamp is something.

Photos are more sensitive, and are consuming much more nutes than an auto. Autos are not faster, but you don't need to switch their light cycle. They are growing and growing, and growing, without any help. The yield is also impressive. Real hard to have the same render with photos.
