Grow Mediums Having problems keeping PH stable in coco

I have canna coco. Just started growing in coco a couple of months ago. Staggered 2 plants at a time and have 6 in coco now. I use a PH pen to measure PH of my water and keep it around 6 and that stays stable in the res which I check every day.

I also measure PH of the coco in the pots using a PH8 control wizard probe. And I have noticed that the PH levels in the pots with coco like to rise up to about 6.6 or so. Is this normal?

i think its almost imposible to overwater an established plant in coco.could there be a few dryish patches inside the coco ? is there a valve you can open up ? if the res is stable in theory the coco should be stable.
again some coco brands are funny some need rinsing some dont.some need pre charged with cal/mag and maybe other things to.
i never used coco,but i see similar issues to this popping up often.

Double checking that you are sure that the ph pen is working correctly? Do you calibrate it consistently? What is the ph going in and coming out? I find that many ph pens don't work so well after a year or so. In my experience, they start drifting.

A couple things to think about as well:

Did you run pH'd water through your coco prior to potting?
How are your plants reacting?
pH for runoff in coco isn't always a good indicator as results could be wonky.

Its brand new. Bought it a month ago. Calibrate check quite a bit too. But did have a time where it was out a bit. I'm hoping I get the hang of PH and coco soon. Just on the early learning curve and hoping to get things locked down soon so I can continue to use coco and get good plants.

I don't measure runoff. It's hard to do that with the pots etc I have.

I measure PH directly at the roots in the coco using a good high end PH probe that @Waira told me about. This is where I get the readings of 6.6, 6.8 etc. It drifts up on me.

My res PH is measure with a good pen and it stays stable at whatever I put it at when mixing nutes.

So if I see 6.8 PH at my roots in the coco, should I be putting my liquid feed at like maybe PH 5.8 so that it settles somewhere in the middle like maybe 6.2 which is what I think I want ideally? This is the part I don't understand and I need to figure it out and know what to do before I screw more of my growing.
