Grow Mediums Having problems keeping PH stable in coco

I ph my water to 5.7-5.8 and my runoff comes out around 6.4ish. Runoff isnt a good way to check ph but I have no probe. I'm doing 100% coco 2 styles, 1 on a drip system and 1 I habd water like soil once a day to once every Other day.

Ideally with coco it should not dry out. You get a more hydro experience from coco that is constantly wet with nutrient solution. But my plants that have had dry cycles from hand watering show no ill effects or lack in yield.

Hope this helps. I'm high as a kite and rambling. Good luck bro

That helps a lot man. I need to PH down lower for my reservoirs so the coco ends up around low 6's. I probably lost ounces of potential yield not knowing this over the last 2 plus months growing in coco! No biggie though. I'll know going forward.

In veg I pH to 5.8 and flower 6.0 I use canna coco also
As mentioned pH will rise as the plant feeds but you may have to feed at say 5.6 in veg and 5.8 in flower since your water may have a buffer in it that makes the pH rise? that is my best guess. let us know how they are... you got pics?

My res water is a mix of city tap water which is med-high hardness and PH of around 7.1 blended roughly 50/50 with the same city water that is RO'd that I buy in large bottles and it's same PH of 7.1 and PPM of like 2. Not sure if maybe my water is causing problems. I only recently started to add RO instead of straight tap water because I'm using autopots with the small diameter water lines. I am trying to reduce clogging the lines with hard water calcium build up that we get with our tap water (glacier fed water source).

I also recently had and still might have fungus nats. Not from over watering now (which I can't do because of autopots gravity) but they might be from soil grows in the summer that I overwatered and they stayed in the tent and got in the coco. I just killed the larvae with mosquito dunks watered in and then I put a layer of sand on top so the adults can't get back in the coco. Gnats should be history now.

I also might have a bit of nute burn.

So any pictures I post could be showing more than just PH issues. Making it really hard to diagnose.

I used to have a similar problem where my ph would rise about .2 over time. So I know ph it to 5.6 and it will run up to 5.8 after I mix the nutes. My coco ph is always above 6. when I water is comes down and goes back up. Drifting is not bad if you know what it is doing and adjust for it. I would get an RO set up and that will help you keep it more consistent and adjust properly.

thanks man but i switched to an perfect ph nutes instead. no more issues no more ph down and no more ph pen.

That works as well. Glad you found something that worked. I never went that route just due to price. Probably just my cheapness I think I am at about five cents a gallon or so.
