Mephisto Genetics Hbss, pre harvest, harvest and final weights.

So here goes the Hbss update. Both plants went on ph water yesterday for 5 days then will go on un ph water for 10 days. This will make them about 90 days old on harvest. Messed up my timings with these plants and due to running a perpetual I need them out so I can flower my 2x chemdogging under the Hs1 lights.

Leaves are a bit down today, I believe because of just having a heavy watering.

As mentioned before, both plants have been really messed about this grow, spent 2 days sitting in my spare room then 2 days in the bathroom, plus then out of a tent and into a completely different environment in my drobes.

Cannot praise the mephisto genetics enough with both plants growing really well with not a single deficiency the whole grow.

Hbss 1 pics, still crap pics, but slowly improving.

Cheers, girls not as chunky as your own bubblegum twins, but should do ok. Should be harvesting about 4-5 days behind you. Watching yours with great interest.

I dunno man your top Colas seem chunkier to me bro. Don't you mean bubblegum triplets lol? It will be interesting to see your final weigh in bro. Hope you get what your after

Sorry, triplets!

Yeah, plants have had a hard time, went onto overdrive far to early, I really did know they needed longer but as I run perpetual I really need the hs1 lights for my growing girls. Plants could still easily go another month, but until I get more hs1 lighting I can't really go past 90 days or it has a massive knock on effect.

I am currently changing my drobes, so will shortly have a bigger middle space so light gets shared better.

As for your girls, I really do believe your colas look much longer and denser, I am only planning on getting about 140g-150 g from the pair. (Even though my beautiful assistant and chief bud smoker claims these look " nice and big"). I am fine with this as it still equates to the gram/ watt which is the level I aim for and happy with. Have been hitting about 1.2 g/ watt over the last three harvests which I class as a bonus.

I should also add the first 25 days of their lives they only received off shoot light while the hs1 were flowering 2 td's.

Many thanks for the kind words anyway and watching your harvest with great interest.

Through not doing a proper journal I will explain a bit more about my lighting, grow set up as it might be useful for someone.

Currently run a 6 plant perpetual, 2 plants out, 2 plants in. That bits easy.

For the last three harvests have been using 2x hs1 led for the 2 eldest plants, basically last 25-30 days. Next to these sat my 2 youngest plants, getting their indirect light from the hs1 led's, this was also for the first 25 days.
The 2 middle plants, 25-50 days old, had very basic, second hand ufo lighting totalling about 200 watts.
I generally kept my 2 eldest plants raised up, this meant that whilst the ufo' provided light for the middle girls it gave some much needed light to the lower branches of the eldest plants. Had virtually no popcorn in three harvests.

Total grams over an 82 day period, which is three harvests was 460 grams, total watts were 350, so exceeded my g/ watt baseline that I aimed for.

This was perfect for me, but due to sleepless nights and paranoia stressing about the landlord doing their yearly inspection, family visits, etc, I decided to give up my perfect setup and move into drobes, which is definitely a work in progress, but almost there.

Good luck to all you growers out there.

I've seen a great increase in production by going to grow tents. I attribute that to the fully reflective interior vs my grow space with just sheets of mylar on the wall. My last open space will be replaced by a tent soon!

Thanks for the advice hal, but aware of the properties of Mylar, flat white and poly.
I currently have about 6 meters of diamond reflective and about 12 meters of black/white heavy duty poly.

I did also look at white insulated board, but this eats away at my already narrow space, which is currently 97cm wide by 56cm deep. max plant height is around 110 in the end drobe.

I had put these up in one of the drobes and for want of a better word looked " shit", so I pulled it down. The plan is to finish the building which will be done next week then to put diamond on the back walls. The inside of the mahogany doors will be painted with flat white.

There is also, as always, big discussions about the actual reflective qualities of different materials, including some excellent threads on afn, including how much benefit is archived from reflective materials when using Led lighting. I am still unsure, but will assume that some reflective is better than none.

Thanks anyway.

Got to agree, for ease of use and creating a stable environment, tents are the best, well they were for me anyway. Missing my tent, but my room with drobes is almost finished and currently a lot quieter than the tent used to be.

But for me, the aim is to be cost effective with the gram/ watt so the coming months will show if the drobes are less effective than my tent.
