Yeah sorry i tried to pm you but i have not earned that yet. Thank you for coming. I will try to get you a visual, just cannot at the moment 2) yes that is my exhaust and correct since i only have this fan i was looking for negative pressure. I cant have holes in my cab with the stealth issue, but i built this cab so by no means is it air tight.[/QUOTE]

you can drill holes on the bottom as well -- its an option im debating on but not necessary (should still make it cooler)
- cover it with nylon/stocking material (to control bugs and such from crawling in.) or anything breathable.
- layer it with a breathable material so you can have space between the pot and the holes.
or
- just drill holes around the bottom (where the pot isnt sitting on)
- then cover etc etc etc.

yup unholy said it 9.5 + but try to get a 12v DC OUTPUT

not sure if you should go higher than 12v tho -- it might burn the fans out.

Here it is not perfect but.. The metal cone has the fan in in leading to to the carbon scrubber box the the light is just cfl plug ins with metal tape in corners to try and seal light leaks. Have any questions let me know. And running one bulb is really on the cool side of temp i might just get away with 2- 23 watters. And yea lol those are ice buckets from a hotel i got 4 for $1 at a garage sale 32oz think i measured them. Dont think the NL will survive mix the soil to drain too good haha usually the other way around. Thanks guys any question just let me know

EDIT : pic is side ways sorry, and those are paper towels on top so the sprout would dry out(the have a little hole it them so they can grow through)

hey moons.

i think youre going to need a bigger pc fan on there to control the heat.

the smaller the space the more cfm youll need to re circulate air and control the heat.

your current exhaust fan would be perfect for air circulation inside the pc -- but i dont think its powerful enough to exhaust the heat.

i know that unholy had 2x120mm pc fan with atleast 140-150 cfm each. + he had another fan blowing air across the lights >> the exhaust.

i currently have 1x120mm (110cfm) + 2x80mm (40cfm) for exhaust. + i have 1x120mm (3 settings LMH) blowing across the lights >> exhaust.

was afraid of that^^^. Im going to try just 2 bulbs like said before, then i will add another exhaust fan if temps are not in check. i was gonna add a fan for circulation in side the box its self. Well i will report back as soon as i find out the results. My timer for the fan is whacked out i dont know why... I might be a little while also sorry hard to find time to make fixes

ts. My timer for the fan is whacked out

Take that fan off of the timer.
The cost of running it is pennies per day (if that much) and the benefit to your plants in it running is significant.

These are the fans i used for exhaust. I found mine in a couple of old pc's but they have them here and if you shop around you might fine them cheaper. Just get the Y4574 for the 148.34 CFM @ 12v. I ran mine on 9.5v with great results and safety is a must when doing any DIY wiring and @12v those fans will give you a good slice with no guard on them.

Agreed, Your plants need fresh air flow and circulation 24/7 :toke::peace:

yeah I totally agree im not penny pinching with the fan, it just that this is a stealth opp and the noise is the problem i try to keep the ceiling fan on to cover up the noise but i you stop and listen for more than 15 seconds you can tell its not the ceiling fan. And about wiring dont worry about me i do it the right way i use splices, heat shrink tubing over that then wrap in 3m electrical tape (the good stuff!) Thanks guys

Well my problems for now have stopped!! I was pushing 85 with the 150 equivalent and 23 watter so I think Im going to stick with it! THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH
On the brighter side I do believe one of the NL might make it to seedling stages

I totally understand about the stealth noise factor, one thing to consider is that a regular computer tower turned on makes fan noise, and generally "normal" noises don't register with most people. It is the out of place noises that get nosey peoples attention. I don't think most people would pay any attention to a pc tower's fan noise, assuming there was a monitor "hooked up". The monitor doesn't even need to be on.
In that small space, everything can get out of hand quickly and moisture will not be your friend once the buds really develop.
Whatever you decide, safe growing is paramount, so good luck!
