Hello, after growing hydroponically with not much success, it was decided to try canna coco. The seeds were from the Ministry of Cannabis. And, the grow room is just a empty cupboard, as in the pics. The light is a 400watt hid dual spectrum.

Nuts are plant magic hydrobloom with cal mag. Ph is 5.9-6.0.

Plants are 6weeks old tomorrow.

I’ve noticed the leaves are turned up, as in the pics. I believe that this is due to heat stress???

Therefore, I have put another fan in to make it cooler. Also, I have topped the blueberry so that it hopefully will not grow closer to the light.

Will the affected leafs go back to normal?

hey @spacyanne one of the docs will be along shortly with more precise diagnosis, But i will try and help in eny way I can... That can be a sign of heat stress but also it could be genetics. I have a mother plant that has that curling of the leaves as a genetic trait. You've done the right thing of adding in more air movement and that supper crop shouldn't hurt the girl... what temps you are reading lights on ?

Hello and thanks.

Temp at the moment is about 29 Celsius but, that’s with the door open! If I shut the door (bedtime or visitors)then the temp rises to 35celsius. I’ve noticed before, but, only slightly the leafs curl.

The key is keep the door open more than often. But, bf moans at night because he can not sleep because of the light....lol.

Any even super-cheap tent should fix the problem with light bothering sleepers. You also need to exhaust heated air and suck in cooler air.

You never mentioned anything about using any fans. Where is the closest coolest air? Is the area or house air conditioned, the room have windows?

In the extreme, you could get a small tent and a cheap portable air conditioner and run it off a thermostat in the tent. Or if this is an area with low humidity, look into a cheap misting-type evaporative cooler.

What type of lights are you using, and how close?

Hid 400watt dual band lamp and it is 14inches away from top of plants. It was really warm the last few days 29 Celsius outside so the RH would off increased. Temp now 26 Celsius.

..:toke:-- ahh, too close, that's classic light/heat stress symptoms,... the leaf rolls like that to try to reduce the directness of the light striking it, trying not to burn,... it can be caused by other things, but at 14", that's the most likely cause,....

The light has been lifted and I have supercropped the blueberry. Also, I added another fan.
