Hecnos first steps in organic

@Duckstar I have 2 Mars hydro 192 . Hoping to add another one soon , I am getting about 1 1/2 in [ 40 mm ] growth a day, I am at day 28 with no sign of any problems , Room is at 26 c with 65 to 70 % humidity - I have backed off on the feed this last week as I think they have had a bit to much nitrogen , but no signs of tip burn . I also have a full rang of organic nutrients now on stand by so I am just winging it at the moment . And so far it has been a stress free grow , I have about 300 ltr of soil cooking now with a bit more stuff added and I farmed some wild native worms to add [ which are doing really well ] plus wild mycelium , also growing well . The soil is very much alive .

Oh yeah - the mad doctor @hecno brewing up his special sauce. BTW @The Elvis posted this earlier - say it isn't true.

Now here is a funny yarn for ya . In the photo below you will see a nail in the dirt , I stuck that there about a week after it popped it's head up , then I was waiting for my son to say something , :crying:Last week he did ask , now this is where it gets real good as my plants are bigger . Well son it's like this . You have heard of the electromagnetic field around earth , yep dad I have he reply's , ok I say , did you know it is the same with organic dirt , it also has a EMF and the nail helps it meet which in turn helps the roots grow bigger Wow dad you are onto it , will it work for me he says , Nar sorry son only works with organic , :crying::crying::crying::crying:
I love pulling my kids leg . I'll see how long I can con him . :cooldance:
Still catching up, just wanted to say this is awesome! How great is that really, what the hell if your right? Nails for everyone!!!

@hecno I'm happy you took well to organics. The soil looks pretty good, and the plants are happy! My last few trips to the beach yielded zero seaweed, but I still plan on making a liquid batch. Your right about organic being more of a lifestyle. It totally changed how I look at most stuff. Even my wife says I'm a more gentle person. I think that because my son, but he likes to help in the veggie garden, so maybe it's both.

Keep up the labor of love, your doing pretty damn good bud. :vibe: Subbed and looking forward to more.:smoking:

@Fuggzy Thanks mate , and thank you for the rep . I can't help but look around me , where I live I back onto a Coastal rain forest and see massive trees and nobody feeds them . Part of my learning process was studying how a Rain forest eco system works and scratching around in the dirt . I still sit in the forest and have a smoke and
:eek1:----- Look ---- at what I am seeing . It's another world .

Oh I wanted to talk about the rotting tree... Decaying wood is a great source of fungi. I have a veggie garden thats was started mainly on composting wood. When I do my ground covers, or make soil, I like to go dig up dome of that wood and add it to the mix. Normally just below the "clutter" layer (leaves, w/e is there) where the soil is moist, I find fungi ridden wood. This pic is last year, this year is look much better. (i'm just stoned and not walking at the moment...)

when I use it, I'll add like 6-8 pieces that size per a 5 gallon pot, and cover it with ~1-2" of soil, then do my ground covers. Which also brings me to the next subject.

If you soil is drying out to fast, you should use a ground cover. In my signature is a bit I wrote that may help you out. There are tons of options, just get creative, and use what nature can provide.
