Live Stoner Chat Hello AFN Another first timer Mcgywer

Hey hitray-

I tend to be a heavy pruner, probably because I grew up growing tomatoes. With tomatoes ya gotta go medieval!! Cannabis plants need a bit more caution... and respect.

When it comes to pruning off leaves, I survey the plant from the top-- this is the view your lights have (unless you also implement side lighting as well, probably not if in a tent.) All the leaves you can't see are leaves that are probably not getting an appreciable number of photons, i.e. not feeling the light. No photons, no photosynthesis by definition. I typically get rid of these, fan leaves or no, because they are not really contributing to the grow. Of course, discretion is involved here as well. You don't want the least possible leaf area to keep your plant alive. But you don't want to have your nutrients going towards growing foliage, instead of bud. Just go for it bit by bit. and see where you get.

Another thing about pruning: your plants are a lot more pleasing aesthetically. Those gorgeous girls!

Welcome, pull up a stool, grab a hookah hose, and relax and learn while your girl grows.
