Cracker is old term, nobody understands. It refers to the "crack" of a whip. In the 19th century ranchers in the SE headed cattle Spanish Style (with whips). Hence the term "Cracker".

I harvested some Super Skunk (pix) recently. I used some borrowed equipment that collecting dust. Originally, I was supposed to keep the equipment. I split the crop with the equipment owner for payment. But, after seeing my grow, my buddy decided he wanted to use it (after I taught him). So now, I'm basically starting over. Plus, I just moved last weekend. I have a 600 watt HPS, a fan and carbon filter and a ton of other miscellaneous stuff. I have Bubble Gum, & NL5xHaze (photo) seeds. Hoping to put together a cheap small auto garden. I am disabled (poor), working on a shoestring budget.

Hey man, cool name lol shit buzz about the equipment tho! I hope your friend is getting good use out of it with the light, fan and filter it sounds like ya have the pricey stuff outta the way. Im in the same kinda situation (funds wise) so I literally bought a cfl and seeds, the rest is homemade or cheap off ebay. Pallets and emergency blankets or white root trapper for the box, aul barrels with a load of holes for pots and made my reflector outta recovered plywood and some chrome spray I had lying around. I plan to expand/upgrade but ive got 3 going in there and theyre happy out.

I have been growing for 30 years! Have had several gardens put together outta odds and ends. Homemade grow boxes with cfls, stoplights (2-40 watt t12s). Have no plans to use my 600 hps. My new grow is gonna be all led. If your gonna grow with cfls I highly recommend you scrog! I doubt you can find 10k's old posts from Overgrow.com. Good yields are possible with fluorescent light. You just need to flatten out the canopy to minimize the depth of light penetration required.

I am scrogging, and im loving it! Much easier to train and keep em even. And with it bein my first grow, ive had a couple mistake/mishaps. I reckon the scrog will make it pay off tho

For the record, I ain't no expert! Probably less than half grows turned good bud. I'm no noob, either. I know the basics. I've learned the hard way! Ventilation, Light and Good Draining mix with lots of perlite. Of course, the most important thing is good genetics!! Happy growing!
