I've been growing photoperiod plants for about 5 years now indoors and have had 2 pretty successful outdoor grows in the mountains of Colorado. Most of what spurred my interest in autos was the idea of having a couple staggered harvests outdoors but after reading here it's been put into a new light. I have a separate grow space elsewhere where I mess with the photo plants but I bought a house about a year ago without a ton of room. I have space for the Agromax Stacker sold by HTG due to being in a loft with a high pitched ceiling. It measure 39"x39"x60".

Very inspired by Seymours grows with the hydro but that will have to wait until I get a few auto grows under my belt.

Normally with photos I run Age Old nutrients in Foxfarm soil using either Rootmaker pots or Smart pots.

Anyway just wanted to share a little background. Just ordered some auto seeds from Attitude and hoping they show up, it is legal where I live anyways lol.

Also looking to go LED so any help as far as what size light(s) to go in that area and a good supplier to the US would be most helpful.

hello buddy

and welcome im only a newbie and on my first grow but as for the choice of led you wont be disappointed mate i was going to buy a cooltube with a 600w hps but im glad i didnt i only put a few extra euros and what i bought is the apollo 4 only small but suits my grow area wow this thing is powerful honestly it blinds youre eyes without sunglasses as for the size a lot of the constructors put the area that is covered by the model chosen have a look at the grow northern equipement ms004 and ms006 and the phytoled apollo 4-6-8 or 12 it will give you some ideas all i can say is dont scrimp and save on the cheap and nasty stuff go the whole hog mate you will not be disappointed there is a lighting section and one dedicated for leds ask in there and let the pros help they really know their stuff if youve got the wedge then spend it on something decent and looking at your space the grow northern ms006 or the phytoled apollo 6 would suit your area the equivalent of a 600w hps consuming a third of electricity from newbie to newbie all the best and happy growing :peace:

I have a couple (exactly 2) buddies that have had good luck with some china direct stuff bought off Ali-Baba but I do know what you mean. Spectrum and quality are important and I know there are a lot of options out there. I'm waiting.... Outdoor season is upon us here so I'm geared up for that. Hoping to have a tent and a good LED by August or so for my winter grows.

Single DWC with one large plant is looking good right now. My other spot is a split bedroom, 2 5'x8' spots with 2kw hps each for staggered harvests in soil. This one will be more for fun and learning LED/hydro (and of course some awesome nugs!).

Welcome to the forum bud :) As for what LED, it's all about how much you are willing to spend and what you are really looking for. Ton of options, so will def need more info ;)

Hello GadgetGuy,

I too am an LED fan, I have a Prakasa 120w and a Viper180w. And I love 'em. Cool and easy on the leccy bill.
Welcome to AFN, enjoy and chat away, eP.

Welcome to AFN! Hope you start a grow journal, would be inbteresting to see what you do. And hydro is the way to go! I grew an auto White Widow for my first grow. I grew it in DWC and I had a flawless grow ( minus an accidental stem break...lol ) I got 6 ounces from one plant! I'll be running hydro again this fall, can't wait to see how that goes now I have some experience!

Good Luck! :Sharing One:

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm looking to do the size tent I mentioned earlier and would like 1 (or2) lights to do the entire grow from beginning to end.

I'll check out the mentioned lights for sure.

Hi Gadgetguy... :styles rasta:to AFN!
