Hi you wonderful people.

Thought I'd better add an intro, even though I've posted once already.

I live in a pretty extreme climate, hence the reason for the interest in this forum, and Autos.

I've a half dozen grows under my belt, all photo and indoor, but after having moved from a remote island back to the mainland indoor isn't an option anymore, well it is, but massively down scaled due to lack of a private grow space. That being the case I've gone for a bud box to start things off, moving to outdoor when the ladies are ready...which won't be happening till Apr / May now as our weather is so damned wet and windy.
I foolishly returned from the island thinking that photos of a hardy strain would do ok outdoors, not here. Even in a sheltered location the wind shredded the biggest leaves, the humidity is sky high, lack of sun later in the year and low, low temps meant that even cod climate / hardy strains stood no chance of finishing. I still have a guerrilla grow of Holland's Hope and Miss Swiss that I've abandoned, yet to be recovered, nowhere near finishing.
Autos are the only way and in next year's half decent Spring / Summer I should get a couple of crops done. Summer starts here on June 1st, ends of June 5th ;o)

At present I'm making babies with some Reversed (CS) Ak48s and Diesel Haze Auto's, squeezed into my 3' x 2' x 2' bud box, under 2 100w T5 panels. Seems to be going well so far, although the AK48s are resisting being turned - anyone else have that problem?
I might even grow a few of the fem'd seeds out in there with some crafty LST to get some smoke for the Winter.

Tons of great people and fantastic info on here.

Thanks and kind regards to everyone from a wet, cold and shittttty 57.7N (Europe, that's all I'm saying).
:peace:

Hi Hootin' :) Nice tae meit ye!

Welcome to AFN! ^_^

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

I'm not the one to advise on cold ... wet ... grey... and windy outdoor growing - but i'm sure others on the forum have had to deal with it and can offer some advice!

If you need any help finding your way around the forums, just give us a shout!
Happy growing

Blue ^_^

Aye Aye Jock,

eP here, and I know how it feels to be in wild n windy weather. It's blooming cold today and I have not yet got my winter plumage on. Hollands Hope is a very hardy strain (I grew two this year) and is quite a nice smoke. It goes purple toward the end which is nice.
It is good to see you joined up and I hope to see more of you around. Good luck with your grows,

eP.

Thanks folks, fighting a battle trying to keep the temps up in the grow box. It's a fine line between sufficient stink extraction v. enough heat.
I think more light wouldn't hurt, but it's a qn of space.

Heya Hoot! Glad you made it to AFN. Hope you get things sorted. I too live in a cold, wet environment and am forced to grow indoors. I can barely get Tomatoes to go outside. Without the help of a small hoop house, I couldn't do it! Anything you need, dont hesitate to ask.

:o) When I lived on the island I had an awesome setup...One whole spare 4m x 4m bedroom at the back of the house, window as a vent, but covered (not that you could tell - fabric hung to look like open curtains), 2x 2m x 2m x 2m tents, one for veg, one for flower. A bud box for my new clones and seedlings, and a lit shelves for the hardy clones waiting to go into veg. A control board for the inlet and outlet fans that I built at work with a Programmable Logic controller to run it all. All useless now. I can't even kneel in my loft where my little grow box is now (the only useable loft). That said, I did end up growing mostly for a hobby, as there was more weed than I could actually smoke. An oz does me about 4 months these days.

Welcome Hoot, let me add my welcome to the others. Sounds like you know what you need to do so best of luck and speak up if you need anything

if you only smoking 3 oz a year, you could get lucky and get that off 1 auto in 10 weeks then shut up shop.a lot less hassle with our weather.
and welcome aboard.
