Four months and $500 later I decided to try AFs. I've tried everything with BS and NL#5. Haven't made it past wk.#5 til something goes wrong.
My main source of info has been from my local hydro shop.
4 guys with six different ways of doing the same thing. It's strange everytime I go in I don't have the right stuff. LOL I finally found 1 guy that knew what he was talking about BUT he's never done AFs.
I have a DWC with 4 6400K and 2 2700K 150W CFLs and every nute made by GenHydro.,airstones,fans, PH meter. Built the cab myself. It's 2x2x6. Not trying to make a buck just something for my back pain after having 3 surgeres.
I have Ganja lowryders comming for my 1st. AF. suppose to be the e-zest???
Been reading alot of good stuff here. Already have the general idea; just need to fine-tune I think. So any help will be appreciated.

Personally I think that 900w of CFL's in your 2x2 area is kinda extreme and could be hard to keep cabinet temps down.
What are your cab temps with them all fired up?
Any chance you can post some pics of your cab and your DWC setup?

In your list you have one very important item missing, an EC/PPM meter to measure nute concentrations.
Maybe you have one and forgot to list it....I hope

I have Canna and H202... 29%. I have GH Flora nutes, Nova and Necture. I have a GH RF66 system. * I have the RF 36*
Do I have everything for AFs?

Sorry for the confusion with my post. I used 3 of the of the 6400K for grow. One overhead and 2 vert. for 4 plants. Got a extra one.
The one time I switiched to 12/12 to flower I put both 2700K over-head. H2o was 68 but ended up with root rot some how. Thus the Canna and H202.
I'm in the mid-west where temps. are 25-35deg. so I made a themo control window fan; put it at floor level. Sucks cold in the bott. vents out the top. My cab stays @ 74.
I built a frame a corner closet; which was 2x2. I live in a old house without insul. in the walls. I can see my breath in the closet.
I lined it with Reflectix from H.D. The front is like a rollup flap. Really don 't need deflectors.
I won't be able to grow inside in the summer except to start plants in dirt to put outside.
I started this project in Oct. for something to do in the winter and smoke; did not know what I was getting into.
Buy a tub, throw some seeds in and watch them grow!!!
I'm computer challenged so I don't know how to do pics. I'll try when I get it up and running again.
