Nothing. Bringing tolerance back down to enjoy first crop of autoflowers when harvested.KULTURHAUS
Hello fellow Growers, connoisseurs, and enthusiasts! I'm MrBreeze001. I'm an old-school grower originally from Washington State, now transplanted here to Central Florida. And unfortunately my move happened the same year that Washington State voted to legalize recreational use of cannabis. What can I say though. I love my wife and it was her dream to work for Disney. So here I am.

I started growing back in the early eighties with some cuttings that my best friend gave me from a strain of indica of which I have no name for. But the plants were phenomenal! And with the help of my best friend and a mutual friend of ours, I learned all I could learn from them and applied it to my plants, and became quite the farmer, harvesting 10 plants a month on a rotating schedule. Back then plants took six months from clone to harvest.

At that time I was using 1000 watt MH and 1000 watt HPS lights. My growing medium was potting soil mixed with worm castings, perlite, vermiculite and compost which the three of us made. My plant food at the time was Alaskan fish fertilizer for the vegetative cycle and a tomato bloom fertilizer.
But life got in the way. I got married to my first wife who liked to smoke but didn't like the idea that I was growing what she was smoking. She was too afraid of getting busted. So I stopped growing. The things you do for love, right!

Fast forward to this year...
The woman that I am currently married to is a smoker as well. And last year she was diagnosed with a blood disorder because of an overactive spleen. This disorder has caused her to be exhausted all the time and her appetite has suffered. She gets headaches and nausea as well as a host of other symptoms because of this disorder. I asked her how she felt about growing our own in order to be able to have the medicine she needs to be at least somewhat normal. And much to my surprise ( because it was never discussed before), she said "what are you waiting for!"

What a difference 30 years makes!
Outside of my knowledge base for growing photoperiod plants back in the eighties, I found myself completely dumbfounded by how much things have changed and advanced in growing cannabis. So now I feel like a total newb!

We sent her back to Washington State at the beginning of this year to hook up with our friends so she could find out what plants would work best for her. She decided on the Jack Herer strain. We went to the best reviewed seed bank websites and decided that we would go with the autoflowering because of the speed with which we can Harvest. I made two grow cabinets, one out of an old solid wood file cabinet that is currently home to our next crop of seedlings, which gave me two separate areas to grow in once the drawers and hardware were removed. The other one, believe it or not, I made from a portable double size cloth wardrobe closet that I bought at Walmart that I just set up last week and transferred our first plants into. I decided to go with LEDs because of everything we read about them and the low cost of operation. The first lights I bought were two 36 watt full-spectrum bulbs from Leviton. I also bought 120 millimeter computer fans for ventilation and exhaust as well as a small $6 high powered desk fan from Walmart for circulation. But I found that the single bulbs weren't very effective for our purposes as the light did not cone out like I expected it to do. So then I settled on a 45 what flat panel LED full spectrum light fixture. And this seems to have worked out for us really well. I bought Fox Farms ocean Forest potting soil as well as Fox Farms vegetative and blooming food.

At the end of March we planted Jack Herer, White Widow, American Pie, and a cross of Northern Lights and Big Bud. At the beginning of last week they started flowering, except for the Jack Herer which should be blooming by the beginning of next week by the looks of things. I have trained them using LST to get as much yield out of them as possible. They look ugly being tied down the way they are but they are growing really well.

I really wish I would have found your website sooner, it would have probably saved me a lot of Internet research to find what I currently know about autoflowering.

I look forward to starting a grow Journal that I can share with all of you and soak up all the tips and tricks that I can get to make my Growing Experience and plants better.

First place I would look for medical strains is the Autoflower Portal Gift Shop
Stone's the breeder himself (and NW) and is an invaluable help in nailing the most effective strain for a medical situation
