New Grower Help and advice needed asap

Hi guys.

I'm growing 2x Autos alongside 2x Photos, they been growing from seed since 10th of jan under 400w HPS lighting.

basically what happened is this..

I made a complete balls up yesterday. I swapped the timer out [mechanical] for a digital timer. Checked on the plants this morning and the lights were off and temps were 9c! I must have set the timer wrong [6 hours on 18 off by mistake] needles to say I swapped the timers again...... Will this do any damage? And should I just revert back to normal cycle? Lights off at 1. Pm on at 7. Pm or should I keep the light on and resume the normal cycle tomorrow?

The plants look ok but it did worry me a bit tbh. I think I will be sticking to the mechanical timers from now on!

the plants were in darkness from 1. pm yesterday until 10 a.m this morning. what would you do?

autos are flowering and the photos in veg.

the autos will be fine ive done the same thing keep them on the 18 6 cant say about your photos.but i would stick to what you were doing and just keep checking them and if you see any changes go from there.try posting on another cannabis forum that grow photos im sure you will get some good advice all the best hazy daze

Thanks Daze. I did post on another forum I'm and they said the same, just put them back to the normal cycle and they should be fine, thanks for your response.

your welcome my freind. i suppose if you look on it like they were growing in the wild there must be periods when they go without sunlight.i live in england and we get some heavy storms.with no sun at all for hours on end plants must adapt to this as they never get the old 18 6 12 12 etc imo. ill stop rambling now ive bin a smoking lol.:joint: all the best hazy daze...

your right even in the tropics they can get dark days with storms brewing etc, just wanted to make sure I think my main concern was something going Hermie on me.:jaw:

yeah fucking hermies had them b4 just cut them fuckers off if you see any. ive had some nice plants that grew some balls.just cut them off and carry on growing.thats if you catch it in time :scope:but i think you will be alrite..HAZY DAZE

I know this is probably redundant. But I wouldn't worry. In fact, i believe that photo plants can be conditioned to ignore residual light, OR that with a bit of training, residual light will have little affect on a photosynthesis plant. However your case is a little different.

IMO ONE night you should be okay.

I like the non digital timer, more reliable, can't really afford for a digital timer to fail on me. I don't have back up meds. I am also not afraid of a seed or two either. My sleep schedule is very similar to my plants. Asleep at ten up at four or five, so at least i can check on things when I am home.

will do I won't be flipping to 12/12 till the autos are finished so it's a long veg for the photos anyhow. That was the plan from day one. keep em on 18/6 till the autos are done then flip.
