Hey guys, Totemtoke here,
I'm starting my first grow (with anything) with coco. Now what I wanted info on was nutrients, what nutrients do you use/recommend?
So far I've read stuff on Adanced Nutrients and General Hydroponics, but don't know what the 'best' nutrient route to go with coco/perlite mix as I am a complete noob.

Thanks in advance,
Totemtoke

For ease, I would go with the Canna Range

If you want a basic cheap line, you could go for just Rhizotonic & CocoA&B

If you want to spend a bit more, get the Canna Boost (bloom booster), some mono calcium, mono magnesium (which i need to get still)

I also like to use Dutch Pro Explode (another PK booster) which i think gives me fatty dense buds :)

Hope this helps!
All the best

Blue ^_^

edit: If you didnt buy your coco yet, i've had best success with Canna Coco Professional Plus (i don't work for them lol)

I'm also considering trying Dutchpro Autoflower nutes - people are having good success with those - if you go that route, you'll need the hydro nutes, not soil!

Can't go wrong with the Advanced Nutrients pH perfect (for coco) nutrients, they're a bit expensive though and I'm pretty sure you need to buy all three bottles of the pH perfect for them to work. If you have a pH meter you can use AN Jungle Juice Micro and Bloom, or GHE FloraMicro and FloraBloom (no difference in growth, Jungle Juice is a bit cheaper).

I personally use GHE FloraMicro and FloraBloom with h3ad's Formula (coco modified Lucas formula). You add 1.4 - 1.6ml of Micro and 2.2 - 2.4ml of Bloom per liter of water (or 6ml / 9ml per US gallon). Most people say that you need to add Cal/Mag when growing in coco, but I never saw any difference with it.

Thanks for the reply guys, I've read a tiny bit about the Ca & Mg defeciencies when growing with coco. To combat this you add Ca & Mg with every water yes? Can I use any Ca & Mg from my local hardware store, or is there specific brands to look out for? Also anyone else wants to suggest some nutes, please do, as I'm still deliberating over what nutes I should get.

So I run the cutting edge line up. Served me well. Just my 2 cents.
As for cal mag. I give. Little bit every feeding like half what the manufacturer recommends . Then if I see issue..I add more. Up to their recommendation.
Hope that helps. Their base is pretty cheap, but their boosters and cal mag are dbl. Though you don't use nearly as much.

I'm in coco hydro.

I use dyna-gro with gh additives. No complaints with dyna, think I'm going to switch to flora nova series with gh and continue using their additives.

Most hydroponic nutrients will work with coco. And you should always have calmag no matter what brand you go with.
