Photography HELP!!!! file size too large

every time I try to post a picture it says the uploaded file is too large for the server to process.....how do I correct this? its giving me a headache

needs to be under 8mb if i remember correctly

I use an app to compress my larger images file sizes. LitPhoto for Android.

If cropping does not make it small enough, you can use photo software to reduce the resolution. Gimp is free and does the job, but it may be a bit overkill for most people. I expect that simpler software is available to do the job, but I don't have specific suggestions.

thanks guys!!!!! just cropping it was enough to do the trick but I appreciate all the helpful comments... I'm kind of a caveman when it comes to computers hahaha
