HELP ! FIRST GROW IS SOMETHING WRONG?

Right we won't know til they are done what the results of your budget experiment are. As it stands right now there is something wrong with your plants, we need to try and figure out what. They should not be drooping like that, unless they have perked back up and this pic was taken just after lights on
yes 20 min after light on

...tucking isn't behind this drooping, it's likely it a water issue,...ironically, both over- and under-watering will cause the drooping,... from what you wrote, under-watering seems more likely,.. problem is, if the soil gets to dry, sometimes it can be a bit difficult to rehydrate evenly, making for dry-ish patches within the pot,.... As Derek mentioned, hefting the pots is a good way to tell if they're properly moist, but you need have some "calibration" first, to get a feel for what a well watered and dry pot feel like,... using a wetting agent will help greatly when trying to get dry soil evenly moistened,...

I think we determined that it was the fact that the pics where they are drooping were taken just after a dark period, they look much better in the other photos he posted.

ah! the night "leaf drop" thing- ... some of my outdoor girls do this, starting before sunset sometimes, a natural reaction... but not always, so it's something of a mystery to me,... thanks for helping again D'-- :d5: :pass:
