So your gonna do a stealth build inside a pc case? Like 1 plant? This could be epic lol your blowing my mind here thinking about it lol, could have someone sitting in your room and they just think your pc is a bit loud haha
Lol yeah it is going to be epic. I'm hoping I can keep it quiet that's why I chose that case. Its not going to be cheap but hopefully it's going to quiet light proof and stink proof. I will be happy if i can get 1 zip a grow, but I'm shooting for 2.
Setup a watercooling loop in there to water the plants lol. Some RGB fans for led lighting? Haha man this is awesome to think about kudos man and good luck can't wait to see it
I hate to sound so negative. I have been growing with cobs for 2+ years and sold over 500 lights since January. For that height I would not use cobs. Most people underestimate their power first off, secondly cobs deliver so much raw power and it all comes from a very small area. Clu-048 cobs are only 28mm with higher par than a standard 300 watt led panel which are spaced over a larger area. Going with 100 watts is like having a 600 watt LED panel and again from a smaller area. If I was you I would get some e-26 screw in bulbs, cut the diffuser off and run 4 in there. Total of 50 watts and spread out over multiple smaller leds. Efficiency is close enough and the cost is much lower. If you do decide to go cobs I wouldn't think the plants would last long before they were burnt up.

Yes 100w is going to be way too much, I was wanting to use one at maybe 1000-1400 ma around 40-60 watts just for the efficiency . Higher intensity towards the end just for extra penetration.
Arty zan has a journal where he used a 50 watt cob in a pc and he has good results. Perhaps he had is turned down very low.
I also wanted to go with the cob for hight restrictions. Of you look at the case there is a little compartment at the top where I would put the cob, unfortunately there really isn't room for a surge protector.
The case is already paid for and is actually right next to me. I was able to save 40 bucks on a damaged box(not product) at amazon warehouse deals such is almost a 33% savings.
I am familiar with @arty zan grow. Extensive training to prevent light damage. I'm with you on efficiency, my biggest light is currently running 8 clu-048-1812's at 25 watts each. Upwards of 60% efficient. I would get some more info on the benefits vs challenges before going to deep. With seedlings I recommend 30" height on my single autocobs.
