I have 3 BHD for seed and have 25 days left but the older leave keep geting bronze spots on them that spread once the leaf is infected. I am growing in MG 6 month time release cuz it is just seed weed and have used 0-10-10 cal mag and black strap malassas lightly in a few waterings with PH up to corect PH. My ph is a little high at 7 and have tested the soil a few times. I am using bottled water on all waterings and am growing inder CFL. The spots look diferant up close but with your eye they look copper or bronze on top and white on bottom. I am growing 2 Lowryder 1 like 3" from one BHD and they have not ban infected so I believe it is a soil isue. I have no bugs or nats so what could be wrong?

Are you mixing nutes / feed anywhere around those babies??. It almost looks like a nute splash, EXCEPT you said it spreads once it sets in. You might want to jump over to the "infirmary" forum. Good luck. Keep us posted.

No I dont spray plants and nutes were mixed in a nother room but after searching I think it might be caused from over feeding will see how the next week go. Dam MG cant flush my dirt thank god I am swiching to organic next grow.

Dam I noticed today I have little white bugs crawling every where there dam small allmost could not see them. :finger: This smiley is for you little bugs... So I have seen stuff about misquito dunks do they kill all bugs?

Dunks contain a form of BT, I can tell you that when dunks are watered into soil, they will kill off fungas gnat larvae in the soil. Some people amend their soil in the beginning to keep fungas gnats from becoming an issue - Something I learned here from JM and Kindred Spirit.

Bti is a bacteria that controls mosquito and black flies in their larval filter feeding stage of development. The larvae die after consuming the bacteria that causes a disease specific to them but are harmless to all other forms of wildlife.

You need to ID the bug, if possible grab a microscope and look - I prefer something with 30-60x magnification. Rogue Hydroponics dot net has the one Ive got, it is like $15 bucks free shipping. Works great.

Small white bugs everywhere, could be spider mites, look at the top of the leaf and see if you got little speckling, like little white dots, Mite damage can look like what you've got- after they damage the leaves enough they will fall off easy after curling up, yellowing, kind of crispy like.

Mites come in a couple varieties, google image spider mites to see what they look like- I had the Two Spotted Mite. They have the ability to kind of hibernate for months, and being so small they are a B*tch to get rid of.

The best thing I have learned (thanks to the AFN) against any pest , crawling or flying is prevention. Just take care of what you are spraying on the plant, as you will be smoking it, there is a ton of info out there about treatments and cures, you have to find what works for you and stick with it.

I had to battle them and It takes perseverance - they are not easy to rid. The best thing is ongoing prevention and a plan so they cannot get a foothold. Look up Caliclean. It is a recipe posted by Calibuzz. I used it exactly as described and made it through the grow without serious problems developing - if what you have are spider mites it takes discipline and perseverance. Also try looking up Neem and how to mix/apply. I used Neem and Caliclean all through veg state and I didn't see them around. I hate mites with a passion..

I truly wish you the best of luck my friend. Hope to hear from you -

ps- I wouldn't suggest using neem on any flowers, maybe past like 2-3 weeks of flowering. I have heard that the taste can stay with it if you use it too late in flower. Caliclean can be used anytime. Plus, like Calibuzz said your money supports a farmer not a big fat f*ck corporation making a killing off your hard earned $$$-

What about sand as a quick temp fix for a few days toll I can figure my plan of attack? Any thing on my dirt should lay eggs in the dirt rite?

If your dealing with spider mites they lay on the plant. Go to a garden shop and whatever you get make sure it controls mites. Mite controll is a problem as you need to use just less than the amount that would cause wet out and on the lower side of the leaf not just the top. Spray just a little more and it wets out-- that is it flows and it really burns!!! Use just a little less and the mites are not controlled. The eggs don't die so it takes 3 plus treatments each separated by 3 days. And let's not forget that because the underside of the leaves are wet you need to have the plant dry before letting light on it. I've burned my plants from just window light on a foggy day while it was being fanned to dry the miticide.

doubt its spider mites...they are very hard to see...and they are usually black/brown w/ a red spot...not white...
