Hi guys into 3rd week of flower 9 plants in a 1.2 × 1.2 currently using 1 x ms0006 grow northern also a l600 kind led plants are looking very healthy .. just wondering I have a new hps 600w available not being used should I add this in would this produce a better yeild ? Any advice would be helpful :)

Hi Ukgrower :)

Your cab is exactly double the floor space of mine and i have 1 ms0006 in there.
I can only fit 2 plants in mine (with the fan and keeping a bit of space for them to grow).

I would think a 600w may be a bit overkill in there and the extra eleccy might outweight the gains - let alone dealing with the heat from the thing! :)

Saying that - it could be awesome - one 600 hps in the middle and a led either side angling down

like this

/ hps \

(pff not sure that illustration helps) :)

I'd say yes to possible yield increase. Not sure if it will work out economical though!

Just my 2 cents!

awesome diagram blue ! haha do you think i should add it in soon or at a later stage ?

If your gonna do it - I'd do it now. :) (work out the extra costs though - beacuse a 600 PLUS what you've got in there may work out pricey over 6 weeks)

Is it air cooled? Dont forget you'll need to keep the canopy 75f-85f (they don't like it too much when it reaches the 90s!)

wicked i had a very good yeild last time from 4 plants in same space with one 600hps , so with the extra led lighting it should be better again fingers crossed , 2 x rhino extractors , also currently have a small fan circulating air inside , and a thermostat with a small fan heater plugged in if temps drop below 22 c will bring them back up and cut out around 26 c

I personally prefer to do a lower number of plants (4 would be my ideal number in that space), but see if i can get them to yield more (though LST training etc).
With temps that low i presume you're in the loft or garage!

With a 250w HPS in my small cab, I'd have trouble keeping the temps at a decent level at the canopy (the reason i dropped HPS for LED)

Keep an eye on the humidity in the tent if it's crammed full of flowering plants, I think cramming them in (especially when they're all on top of each other) increases the chance of mold. Shoot for a low RH in flowering if you can 30s-40s (below 70 to keep it safeish)

ill be going for that option next time around , 4 plants max allow them more space to grow, and use some training to try reach a good yeild , rh is around 50 ish any recommendations on bringing it down ?

50's okay!

Bringing it down, you'll need a dehumidifier. Obviously get rid of any water left in the run off tray after watering and remove any dead plant material that has fell (or is still on the plant).

Keeping good air circulation though the plants will help keep mold away. I have my fans facing up at the plants canopy blowing through them at this point.
