Need some help guys. My HBSS is on day 44 now and is showing deficiencies. She is in a 5g pot in a mix of light and all mix. Her current feed is 3ml old timers bloom, 1ml pk boost, 1ml calmag and 1ml biobizz topmax but the deficiencies seem to be getting worse. From the top she looks good but it's spreading upwards. To me it looks lik mag def but the plant magic maybe cal (new to me) says to use 0.5ml - 1ml per litre (my old sensi calmag+ suggested 2ml per litre.) I'm thinking I need to up my feeds to this with the new bottle? The other possibility is I should have fed her more N for longer?

My White Train is showing mild mag def too but not as bad. I really want to like these old timer organic nutes as they are uk based and reasonably priced however at the moment I am having a lot more issues than I did with my biobizz regime.

Any advice would be appreciate.

On a positive note my Sour Blues girl has just shown herself.

You might need to feed them some veg nutes to bring up the nitrogen a little.Your plants are looking fine other than a few bottom leaves turning yellow and this does happen and by giving a shot of nitrogen should help.

I think You could use some Epsom salt. I see some claw happening from N tox. I could be wrong of course.

Yeah that's historical clawing from veg. Sprted that early on. I gave a addition ml of grow per litre this last feed.

:toke:-- this is all ml/L, right? These nutes are mild, so some extra on a bigger plant is called for,... what Ca-Mg product are you using, Plant Magic? doesn't that have a high N content? This might be why you got a little N tox. earlier,.. but not now! These look like N defc. symptoms to me, some of which is normal at this point,...if they're getting tapped out fast, adding some extra nutes and Ca-Mg should help slow it down until later when it doesn't matter anymore,... tapped fans are a good sign that the plant has cleared out the stored extras! I don't think Mg defc. is starting, though I can see why it kinda looks like it,.. Mg defc. doesn't seem to cause the overall yellowing out that N defc. does, the yellowing tends to be more localized intrerveinally, surrounded by green tissues,... in your plants cases, all mild symptoms,...
:greenthumb: nice plants BTW, mate, well done- :d5: My chum spotted me a nice fat bud of HBSS, and it's fine, fine smoke!

Cheers for chiming in. Iys my first time using these old timer nutes, was using biobizz before which states to add 1ml per litre of grow through out bloom feeding where these cut the grow out on the switch over. Magnecal by plant magic has a 2-0-0 rating which is why I swapped from sensi which was 4-0-0 and was causing N TOX problems. I'll treat these nutes like biobizz and continue adding grow through your plus raise the dose of calmag. Hope things don't get worse.

I know some leaves slowly start dying off during flowering as the plant gets older it may maybe overgrowth...have you trimmed her much?

Yeah this is too early for that IMO. I've trimmed a few leaves that suffered when she overdried.

Yeah it is usually to the end of the plants cycle..... if it's in soil I have sprinkled dried blood on the top before which greens up a plant after a couple of days watering.... I've gone hydro for the last few grows and tested to go back to soil and organic... I'm currently chasing a so far undiagnosed deficiency in my plants...especially my magnums fussy little girls they are!

check your nutes for Ca and Mg content too, ... you may not need to add full strength there, and actually shouldn't,... too much Ca-Mg can lead to other issues, and your plants aren't showing symptoms of Ca defc. and only a maybe on Mg,...
