Mephisto Genetics Help Needed

Hello everyone

First I would like to thank Stan and the rest of the genetic wizards at Mephisto for some amazing lineage.

This is my second grow with mephisto and second grow ever. My first was Hubbabubbasmelloscope. I got 7.5 oz from 2 plants. I am now growing 2 CDLC which are at 44 days. They are good sized and starting to stretch. I did not defoliate last grow which i think was a mistake. My question is when do you defol and how much is enough.

7.5 oz from 2 plants is a good yield, depending on how big your grow space is.
You won't go wrong doing what you've been doing.
My advice is to get a few grows done naturally before trying other techniques.

Pruning is a controversial topic.
It is not a mistake to not prune.
Bending and/or tying the plant down slightly (Low Stress Training) and leaf tucking can accomplish much the same thing.
I grow several plants in a small area, and I do nothing to them because there is no extra space, and reaching some of them is difficult.

me a fan of defol, to a fault really, lol, so me own answer would be a wee biased me thinkz... ppp

Mephisto has some great genetics, I'll come away with handfuls of fans till about the 4th week in flower, then I'll tend to leave them alone till the end, unless something is shading a bud site. Indoors it's about light penetration. I've stripped almost as aggressively as photos.

Plants looking good!! I suggest you check out @autobeast thread on topping and defoliating autos. His thread is in the indoor grow section. It's a sticky. Check it out, will help you decide if you want to try. But like others said, get a few grows b4 you try.

I employ the clothes pin method as well as some defoliation. You can use clothes pins to drop the leaves to open up the canopy, you can also put several on the terminals/ tops to weight the branch down. This will bend them outwards slightly, also allowing more light to penetrate. Using this through the entire grow can be effective, and its a buck for a hundred wooden clothespins. I pack my 3x3 rather tightly and this method had proven effective. Usually about the second week of flowering coinciding with a feeding, Its good to remove all the lower growth. This way, as your putting a good amount of stress on the plant, its got plenty of food and water to get back to its equilibrium. Sounds like you have a decent handle on things. Give er hell
