I don't feed anything for about 10-14 days either if I start in a regular ol' orange bag of promix. Growing in coco I put in a suuuuper light feed of around 100ppm bloom nutes to get the roots a good start. In an aero cloner when I start seeds (which I did this round with real good success again) I just use RO water and around 250ppm of Clonex solution for the first 2-3 weeks. Best looking plants are in the aero cloner, and by best I mean biggest. :)

Jiffy Pots are terrible, save yourself the learning curve and don't use them.

Thanks for all the tips. I will give the dormant ones another couple of weeks and then give up on them. For my next grow i will check here before i proceed. I am thinking of maybe ditching the tissue method. How about if i used Biobizz allmix but put the light mix on the top and them germinate the seed there?
cheers

yes that would be fine. You could use the paper cup method with a hole cut in the bottom or just dig a hole and fill with light mix you just need that buffer. also organic seedling mix may be cheaper if you just need a little

Also peat jiffy pucks are fine were not on about pots here as they have a solid edge that takes time to break down

it would take some trial and error but a 50/50 light mix to all mix might work as well without any buffer
