Hello I'm getting ready to buy an led light from advancedledlights and I want to make sure the light is powerful enough. My grow space is 2x2x6 and according to advanced website the 100w diamond series light is the size I need. It says the core coverage of the light is 2x2.5. I just know from the past that light companies tend to give too much coverage area of the lights and I'm not sure if that's the case with these led lights or not.

it should be enough to grow one mabe 2 small plants never used it but i heard the 500w(i think) is a beast! gollria has a buddy that uses that brand. if you want more you gonna have to go with the next level up.

The ds100 looks pretty small for that size area mate.imo you wanna aim for around 40-50w per sq ft for the best coverage, and on that basis you'd need around double that for your 2x2x6 area."Sharing One"
The is a review in the led review section from a fellow member called Chester,he's used these LEDs for a while you could get his opinion to bud "Ducky High 5"

So if I get the ds200 it should be good? Thanks for the info I remember buying a 400 watt hps and the claim was it covered a 5x5 area lol. I used it in an 8 square foot space and it was just enough light lol

The ds200 will be spot on for that size space mate. "Sharing One"

The ds100 would grow 1-2 plants in that space. At 4 sq ft your space would only be getting 25 watts / sqft ... The ds200 would allow you to do a better job w/ 2 plants in that space ... you could do more if they fit ... the ds200 would put out a little more heat if temperatures are an issue ... w/ a little practice w/ a ds100 and that space you could easily produce 3 ozs every 3 months ... the ds200 would probably increase the harvest by an oz or two so if you can afford the bigger light I think you would be happier. I started w/ a ds100 in a 2x2 space w/ 5-6 plants that gave me about 3 ozs. Learned that 1 or 2 bushy plants could out produce twice as many scrawny ones ... Advanced are good people to deal w/ and to me, having a great warranty is worth the difference in cost between them and a knock off ... good luck and I hope you start a journal for your grow.

Wow I didn't realize that the ds200 costs $545 I could buy their XML diamond 150 with the 10 watt Crees in it. I may be rethinking my purchase because that is a lot of dough. Maybe an htg supply light or a bysen 250 w. I've read about the fans and it seems to be an easy fix. I can get a bysen Helios 240w for $239
