Bought this 6 weeks ago. 2 days ago the display screen went blank. The screen was foggy so I must have spilled a bit more water on it than usual. I don't recall reading anything about keeping the meter dry...kinda assumed it would be water resistant. I never thought twice about a splash here and there on it.
I bought it off Amazon so warranty is no good. Spent a pretty penny on this toy and hate to give up. Any thoughts on how to get it working? Im considering taking it apart.

is the all in one box with the 2 attached probes ? if so I've got one of those and mine is very water proof. I've spilled loads on it, even puddling around the screen with no issues so far. Sounds like you may have duff one... surly you can send it back to amazon, say it already had the fault. They never question any thing.

Yeah, same combo meter, I believe.

I've exceeded the 30 day warranty for Amazon, I guess it's worth a try though.
I've contacted support@bluelab.com and they said it's not meant to get wet and that wouldn't cover warranty. Buying from Amazon, I don't get their warranty anyway.

I'll try Amazon and see if I can get another. Thanks @Slater

that's the one... care full with the PH probe I went through 2 in 12 months... kept breaking the wire at the point the where the wire go's into the probe. I don't think it's designed to keep moving it about, more designed to sit in a rez permanent.

I contacted Amazon and they are refunding 100%, even though I'm 2 weeks beyond refund date. I'll order another.
Thanks for the tip, my man. I'll be careful with the probe.

That's why I use Amazon. They are great.
