DIY Help with LEDGROWLIGHT upgrade/resturation please

Hi there everyone :-)The mars ll 900 (180 x 5w )did allright in growth but even with a higher % of red nm than other nm it was crap for flowering and all the blue whites did that it didnt start flowering properly early enough and flowering took much longer in addition too that the strains kept making new pistils on top of the allmost finished and kind of concentrated more on new growth rather then bulking up trichomes.

That is foxtailing. I seriously doubt that it was caused by light. Maybe from heat of the light, but not spectrum. You report a lot of problems with growth of your plants, maybe something else does not work for you.

I had grown some plants that had foxtailed, heat and too much nitrogen could had been the reason, they are very often listed as causes of this weird behaviour of flowering plants. Nobody knows for sure, but must be a combination of stresfull things, not only one.

Good eye Gonzo, foxtailing sounds like what it was. I don't know all the causes but I do know excess N is one, have not heard of lighting... but I am no where near an authority!

Fox tailing can be caused by genetics and strong PK finishers. If time is money, sell the light you got and buy what you're looking for, way easier and lot less likely to end up with a 400$ brick.
