Help with my first grow

@derek420colorado I have ordered some strips, and last night used my manual pH meter to test and the water fed was around 6.2 plants have responded well I think, been a few days since I posted pics so will try to post some updated one later. Thanks

Ok awesome! One thing you will need to test(if you haven't already) is your runoff you want to check the water going in and the water coming out so you can get an idea of what the soil pH is. Get some pics up lol that is always good

Bad news guys I tried just to tie one of the branches down a little, but it snapped (But not completely off) it still fits in just fine and I have tied it up so it's held in place and wrapped wet kitchen paper towel around it to help it (Which is what I did on the last break) do you think it will be OK or should I take it clean off?? Will it still grow..

Have also ordered a grow tent heater off amazon as since my new inline fan arrived I can't get temps over 22c

Let it go and see what happens. If you cut it off, it might slow the whole plant down or put it back a week!

@briman the whole stem near enough came off and just checked and it has completely drooped every leaf and bud site so surely best to take off so plant can just concentrate on the rest of the plant?

hey Cos'-- ...on testing soil pH, using the run-off method and calculation, it's sub-optimal at best, and next to useless at worst when done wrong...too many potential sources of error! That said, sometimes there's no choice, so here's a link to an improved protocol- ( https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...-testing-and-ph-estimation.41733/#post-928975 )
.... BUT the best way is to use a soil pH probe, for actual direct measurement --- forget the cheapie skinny-ass types you see at garden centers, etc., they are lousy! Best buy on this is the Accurate 8 by Control Wizard; same working principle, just more robustly built and better tuned... Save the meter use for adjusting nutes!

....the branch sounds like a goner, too much conductive tissue was damaged likely,... they can amazingly come back from pretty severe hits sometimes,.. only up to a point though- - shit happen!

@Waira yes I just took it off as my thinking is the plant can put more effort into other areas and plus there were a few bud sites under that are now getting direct light so as you say shit happens.

@Waira one of the plants stems snapped early on in life and has come back great stunted but bushy so I know they can come back but my thinking is that plant is probably too late into development to recover that branch..
