I'm about to start growing for the first time. This is my what I have so far:
  • 3x Advanced Biodiesel Mass seeds
  • 5 Gallon Bucket (Container)
  • FoxFarm Ocean Forest
  • 1x 6500k 42 Watt CFL
  • 3x 2700k 42 Watt CFLs
I think I'm ready to start growing, but I'm having a problem with picking nutrients and what nutrient cycle I should use. I can't tell whether I should use the FoxFarm Trio (here) or the General Hydroponics Trio (here). The General Hydroponics is cheaper and has great reviews, but a lot of growers on the internet swear by the FoxFarm Trio so I have no idea what to pick.

Additionally, I've noticed that a lot of forums mention that nutrients should not be used for the first few weeks when FFOF is used. I haven't been able to find any info on how to use nutrients with FFOF while growing autoflowers and I would really like some help with that.

My Questions:
  1. Which nutrients should I use?
  2. What week should I start using nutrients with the FFOF?
  3. What nutrient cycle should I use?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been stuck on this for days...

Welcome to AFN mate.styles rasta Someone who uses FFOF will drop by at some point and help you out,iv never used the stuff, the FF products are super expensive over here in the uk. You could try the search bar in the top right corner to search out fox farm ocean Forrest :smokebuds: High 5

Hey master ^_^

Welcome to the forums, looks like everyone's already jumped in with the help! Nice vibe around here!
I'll be looking out for your grow!

:key:Fox Farm mix tends to be a little hot right out of the bag and there have been some problems with its PH.If you use it take some out of the center of your pot and replace it with some plain peat. Then when you put your seed in it won't get burned.I use General Organics bio line and have had great results. It's a full organic nute so you don't have to fuss with the PH problems that happen with non organic nutes. You usually wait about two to three weeks before you start feeding them a mild dose of nutes, then up the dosage as she gets bigger.I feed every other water when there young and go to every water at about five weeks. For a succesfull grow I would reccommend adding more lights than you have to cover three plants.I would go at least three 6500k bulbs for the veg cycle and three 2700k for the flower along with the 6500k bulbs.Remember the more light you have the better quality grow you will have. Leaving a karma clou

Thanks a lot for this! I'm only growing one plant at a time; do you still think I would need more lights for one? I guess I'll buy a little peat then! Is this brand okay? Also, which bio products do you use? I'm looking on their site and there are at least 5 different kinds...
