Grow Mediums Hey Guys , a question about AN feeding in DWC

Hey guys how are u ? I am very INtressting in DWC and i want 2 give this system a try! I see here are some very good growers whit very nice Hydro skills MY questions is about the feeding for the Plant in an DWC. I have some AN feed for coco hit PH perfect and i want 2 ask u guy is it posible 2 use the Nutrient for DWC or should i buy other basis Nutes for a DWC?

I can't really advise on this as I am uncertain, but I am pretty sure you will have ph problems if you use it in DWC.
And I think there are better products than AN for DWC.
They are pricey, and every grow I used it for showed a heavy calcium deficiency that I could never solve.
I don't think it is worth the money.

Do you care to expand on this. I'm currently researching nutes (was set on AN, but decided to do more research). THanks for any help.

There are a decent amount of dwc grows on this site with AN and it works just fine. I know @HotBunz uses it for example and he grew some monsters. I'm currently actually using AN ph perfect sensi for COCO in a RDWC setup and it's working perfectly so far. Coco version only has increased cal/mag to deal with coco cec. Not only that but I'm following tangs easy feed and only using bloom nutes throughout the whole grow. You don't need to buy grow bottles at all. The bloom bottles have everything you need in a base nute from day 1 to flush. There is a big thread in the fert section from tang if you want to see some great examples of plants grown using the method.

I'm using Tangs easy schedule on my first ever DWC grow and don't tell anyone but I have not checked a single thing since I started. I've added jungle juice, hydroguard and another additive called Humbolt Golden tree and have not had any issues yet. Granted I've been away from home for 3 days so hopefully it's still that way when i get home. I know I'm being lazy not checking ppm or ph but maybe I'm starting a new trend [emoji6]

Yea I've checked my ph maybe twice in 20 days and I've never once adjusted it. AN recommends not using ph adjusters with the ph perfect line. All the nutes are heavily chelated so it doesn't even really matter what the ph says as long as it's not like 8.0 or something. The plant can still take what it needs though that probably won't apply to all the other stuff you decide to add to the water with it haha. Doesn't really matter though because when I add my ph perfect to RO water it turns the ph to the perfect range anyway so either way I'm covered.

I really like this stuff so far, especially for hydro. Not having to buy grow bottles saves a lot of money too. All this stuff is the same price on amazon for me so I don't really know why people say it's more expensive. Maybe if you are buying larger amounts? I dunno. I buy 1 liter bottles at a time for 30$, when I was growing coco a 1 liter bottle lasted me multiple grows. Don't see why hydro would be any different.

Nope ...I have never used any AN products. For my hydro grows I am using plain old General Hydro Flora 3 part. Simple and easy.
