Mephisto Genetics Hey Mitch, I have the weirdest plant.

Yep, but the bitch of it all is that I don't know exactly which strain of Mephisto's it is. It is definitely one of the 420 releases, I purchased a multi-pak of 7.
Anyway, it has been a weird one right from the pop! It branched immediately after the first two real leaves! I've never seen a pot plant do this. Now, it has one huge leaf that looks to me like a big Basil leaf, and the other leafs on other branches are gnarled, but still kind of serrated pot looking. Also, that one big leaf is shaped like a mitten, weird. I'm not gonna pull it, I almost never kill my "special" girls, sometimes you get a nice surprise. Mitch, any ideas? Ever see one of your recent girls do this?

My Blue Toof Special started off kind of like that. Will see if I have any pics of it at that time.
I will say that particular BTS is hands down the strangest plant I have grown, it is the 1st BTS for me however. Looks like a cross btw an alien pinecone, pineapple and a cactus. Cotton candy with leaves stuck on it. Just a oddly beautiful plant that is close to the end. I really hate to chop it.
At Day 64.
It was thicker but took the secondaries on day 61 to leave all resources to the tops.

I can tell those aren't seeds if I look closer, but it almost has the morphology of a seeded bud. It sure is pretty whatever it is, there is just something about frost on purple that sings to me.

Mrs Goat's first response was thats seed pods. Nope, took opening up one to convince her. I'm with u on the frosty purps. This BTS is a rainbow of colors. Best thing i have 9 more of the BTS beans.

I can't say for sure that the Bluetoof was my all time favorite strain, but I cannot actually think of any I have liked more. I like it so much I'm going to take my remaining BTS seeds and cross, then BX, and BX again with some stone dragons just to preserve the genetics so I can smoke them forever. So yeah, a fantastic strain.

So I am trying to decide on what my 3rd open spot in the September rotation will be, and the needle keeps pointing towards the BTS.
Everybody that has had her raves about her and talks about it being one of their fave Mephisto strains. Plus, when you throw in her nighttime
med qualities, it is hard to ignore.

@Archaic, are you going to self her (make part of her throw viable male pollen with the use of STS or CS, and then pollinate the rest of plant?) or start a seed
and turn the whole plant by use of CS/STS and then use that pollen on another BTS plant?

I'm actually going to dust some lower buds with Stone Dragon male pollen. Then I'll grow out the F1s and back cross into another BTS to get a 75% plant, then do it once more to get an 87% BTS 13% Stone dragon. I actually have 4 seeds, so I could even go to 94% if I wanted. I might buy some silver thiosulphate (STS) and self one at some point as well, but I like to tinker with breeding and I'm ok with males. BTS is the best nighty night strain I have - and I LOVE Stone Dragon at night - which speaks pretty damn highly of Mephisto's creation.

Very funny. That’s where I was when someone started a favorite meph strain. Finally after realizing I didn’t like any of them more I decided it was my favorite for now.

I just checked my stash, only two left - so I'm going to be ordering some STS this weekend. I'll still do the dragon cross, but illI be selfiing one as well

Actually, a BTS x Stone Dragon hybrid sounds pretty sweet
