Hey man! Welcome! I'm a new joiner as well. First autoflower grow, first hydro. I'm having some similar issues... I've trimmed the parts of the leaves that were browning and I turned down my light to 50%, also turned fans down and not as direct... after about two weeks, they looked better and I turned light up to 75% ( it's a 600w hps btw). Are ur leaves canoeing as well? If it's lights, u can always bring them up as well. Hope this helps! Cheers bra!

I know hydro untypically get more yield bc roots don't need to work as hard... but I've also heard soil has better taste. This is my first hydro grow... I'll probably end up close to a pound between

I know hydro untypically get more yield bc roots don't need to work as hard... but I've also heard soil has better taste. This is my first hydro grow... I'll probably end up close to a pound between

yeah man the yields are pretty hard to beat. its because the roots have more space and more oxygen. i use NFT, so most of the roots literally grow in nothing but air. havent seen one of these systems produce anything under a half pound. regarding the quality though.. hmm... yes and no. from my experience and what ive seen on here, organics does seem to produce the best looking buds but theres a lot of bullshit comes with soil growing that you dont need to worry about in hydro. over watering, underwatering, not enough oxygen to the roots, ph is a fuck load harder to fix in soil as are toxicity/deficit problems. thats why i like hydro, too much of something just take it out. not enough, just add more. ph is fucked, takes 5 seconds to fix it. you cant do any of that in soil without fushing and a whole load of fannying about. i done handwatering once, years ago. and its not the easiest thing to get the hang of. miss a feed and they end up half dead. whereas as in hydro you can leave them for a week at a time if its needed.

If i ever get a real indoor space with real lights i am going to get a hydro setup...maybe move from my realm and try dwc

yeah im branching out a bit myself these days. gettin loadsa guys on the gravy train now that my house is almost safe again and i dont need to worry about getting caught. got an nft at one guys, hes about to add a couple of coco smart pots/airdomes doing 2fast 2 vast. my next personal grow thats what im going for. theyre absolutely stunnin. easily outgrowing my ultimate so far aswell. got 4 dwc on at another guys although so far hes cost me a hundred quid worth of seeds and still cant get it right. keeps having to go work away for a week at a time and killin em. the one im looking forward to though is the mass of horse poo experiment. really like the sound of these biotabs and quite fancied learning how to make my own organic soil but ill see how he does in nice simple horse poo before i bother breaking my brain for it. going for a mainlined photo for that one. just gotta measure his closet and make a pot, get some lime and horsepoo from local shop then that ones good to go aswell. oh shit actually. its all leds so ill need some sort of calmag aswell no doubt. what would i use for that in horsepoo? am i better to put it in pre-emptively or can i top dress should the need arise?

The lime generally adds enough cal and mag for outdoor, but indoor not sure?? Under LEDs and the short breakdown time it likely wouldnt be enough. Sorry to jack your thread nato!

That's what I was thinking as well.... complete control with the environment is my end goal.... and as long as the taste and quality are there, i don't mind if the buds don't have as much bag appeal.... I'm just about to start flushing this week... I'll let u know how it turns out!! I didnt have my portable a/c unit earl on and the buds aren't nearly as tight as I'd like.... the gorilla glue is badly foxtailed.... but my temps were 30 Celsius until last month.... I shoulda been on top of it better... but it's part of the learning curve I guess. Thanks a ton for your feedback brotha! Cheers for now!
