As it says i don't smoke anymore but as my partner and son do I've been nominated the house farmer!
So I had a go with a couple of cuttings and managed to get a massive 57g dry from 3 unknown plants. Well if nothing else they enjoyed the smoke and I enjoyed growing them so decided to get a bit of equipment. I have a cupboard 95cm x 60cm x 230cm in a 1m x 2m closet. I don't want to use to much power so have a Helios Pro 4 LED that draws 200w, 4 inch fan and carbon filter, 10l Air pots and Canna nutes.
A mate gave me a couple of Auto seeds a few months ago and i managed to get 96g dry of them (1 Kush and 1 Cheese).
My latest effort is a couple of DP Auto Mazar, They have had a slow start due to the closet being out of use due to some building work being done and me being impatient and starting them in the kitchen under a fluorescent. Luckily i found this site on Saturday and I've done nothing but read since!! Sure I'm going to be asking loads of questions in the future but for now I have one.
Do Autos have a set life span or will the fact they have had a slow start just prolong the process?
Will try and upload a pic, they are 25 days from breaking ground.
Thanks
John

Autos generally have a set lifespan ... but time under a fluorescent doesn't seem to add up as fast as time under an LED ... at 25 days you've got a good start on some nice plants ... Welcome ...

:welcome:

welcome John. you should start a journal in the new growers academy section. a lot of traffic and you'll get all the help you need. ive not Grown a DP auto Mazar yet, I do know some of them have longer lives than what most think.

Welcome to the Family, John!:toke: House farmer is a revered role, my friend. At least my first 2 years here I couldn't smoke, but still loved every minute of the grow and harvest:thumbsup:
A double Amen to what @elsamurai said, get a journal up, and this would be a great spot for it:

Remember, auto's can be nute sensitive, so starting at 1/4 strength is always a good idea until you know the strain.
Do you have a pH meter yet?
And :slap: for a great start!

Cheers for the replies guys i will get a journal up and running later today, I have feeling there is a lot to learn and this looks like a great place to do it.
Redneck i don't have a PH meter (been winging it so far) any recommendation's on a decent one that won't break the bank?

Welcome John, I am also a fellow non-smoker but I love to grow some green, and all my smoking friends love it. I have my own group of taste testers to give me feedback. I think they enjoy there part of the process :smokeout:. I hope you enjoy AFN, we really are a big family, a little weird and dysfunctional, but still family :bighug:.
Look forward to your journals :greenthumb::welcome:

Hey John,

good to have you join us. I have existed so far without a ph meter, but others swear by them. Not much of a smoker myself, but love to grow. Oh how we love to grow.
@AKsteel said it all. Enjoy all that is AFN......eP.
