i just moved to Florida. Having some heat issues with my 600watt HPS so I decided to throw some SourDiesel autos from Humbolt Seeds under my 4'- 6 bulb T5. A lot less heat to deal with in this Florida weather.i will sacrifice yield but I use PowerVeg lamps which are a bran new T5 lamp. There the first multi spectrum T5 bulb out there and my plants love them. I will still run around 80*. Not perfect but ok. I am solving my heat issues and can't wait to get my 600watt HPS going again. Florida has been 95-96 degrees!! It will be sweet when I'm done routing in the ac to the flower room. For now I'll run these T5's strait thru flower so I can get my meds. I've been growing bout 5 years and would like to think I've gotten pretty good. A lot of trial and error. So any help I can give or advice just hit me up. I run mostly photo plants but I always have a couple select Autos. So that's a tiny bit bout me! Lol. Here's how I'm doing my SourDiesel
I use RootsOrganics soil with a few amendments and GeneralOrganics for my autos.
Once she gets above soil I run 24/7 max lighting for the first 10-14 days. Which is usually the veg cycle for most autos. Then I switch to 18/6 for most of its life cycle. If I have time and I want max yield I'll run 18/6 strait thru. But in this case I'll switch to 12/12 the last 4 weeks to speed it up. ( I just moved. My supply got neglected! )
I run almost zero veg nutes. My soil is usually good enuf. I'll hit 1/2 strength flower nutes at around week 3 full strength by week 6. I don't flush. I just use ph water only, after week 6. No flush needed. Unless the plant tells me diff this is how I run my autos. I've never flowered with a T5. So this will be a new adventure. Wondering what my yield might be with it.
So that's it for now. I have 1/2 doz autos going. Hoping for good results.
