I checked this site out a while back. It must have been pretty new 'cause there wasn't a whole lot of action. It's changed and grown!

I've been growing somewhat seriously for 6 or 7 years, though I played with some bagseed outdoor grows back in the sixties/seventies. Couldn't even tell males from females back then.

I'm using a little 2x4 tent with 8x23W CFLs in a homemade fixture and a homemade duct fan, everything's on a budget. Also have a mommy/clone closet with T5s.

I mostly grow photos but have done a seed run of lowryder2 and did those for a couple years after, and grew some diesel ryder though they didn't grow well for me. What I did get was pretty nice.

It seems that lots of the new autos come only in fems so I've steered clear but now that I've read some on using colloidal silver I might check out some of the strains next time I order beans. I'll try it out on photos first 'cause all I could lose is a couple of clones.

This looks like an interesting site with tons of info. Also the people seem pretty mellow, I steer clear of places with lots of drama and flame. Looking forward to hanging out.

Welcome buddy,glad ta have ya man.Im sure some of your growing experience and knowledge will help many ppl out.There are a fair amnount of Autos in Reg for breeding stock,ya just have to look around a bit.Yeah dude,ya aint gonna get flaming n mean ppl.cuz that **** dont fly man..lol.we keep and maintain a solid vibe brother,so relax,fire one up and get to know some killer ppl.

yes we have certainly grown! We are definitely into th mellow... Just want to talk about and share the love and knowledge of our passion, growing autos (photos too).

welcome to afn.I am also a newby to autoflowers but have found a lot of helpful people and great information on this site. you may want to check out this thread https://www.autoflower.org/f44/life-cycle-auto-flowering-cannabis-5113.html. autos are a little different than photos and MUDDY provide a great deal of useful information in this thread.I grow with PL-L55s and T5HO lights and also grew bag seed back in the 70'using the old T12 gro-lux. I don't think any of us really knew what we were doing back then. are you aware that autos can't be cloned ? their life cycle is controlled by genetics so a clone would mature and die at the same time as the mother plant.they do grow fast and look lie they would be great for SOG. once again welcome to the site from a fellow newbie. Yep, I was aware that autos can't be cloned. (I read a lot) I did a seed run of LR2 a few years ago and most likely will do seed runs when I try autos again but some of the strains I'd like to try are fem only, so the CS trick sounds like fun. Next best thing to cloning. I'd like to try SOG with autos but the beans ain't cheap so I'll need to make my own.

My old lights were stolen last time I moved, I wish I still had them. With the situation now I'm having a good time making do, though, and having surprisingly good results with the curlies. Got three z's from a SCROGged Blue Widow last year, which surprised the hell out of me. The fixture is sized for the little tent so it should be good for a SOG of a strain that doesn't grow too tall.

Autos are a couple projects down the road right now so it'll be a while, maybe next summer outside. time will tell.
