WELCOME mate to greatest site on the planet for all things AUTO. I hope to see a grow journal soon.
Hello, well most certainly not done. When I stated it was a miniscule set up I intended to mean bare bones of mostly free, donated, and found parts. I'll take some pics if i feel brave enough... I've finally decided to put some time/money into future grows. Got most things squared away. My only thing to do now is decide on lights really what Led setup I'm gonna run.hi and welcome
congratz, finished your first grow and enjoying the WW.so you all done,or whats next ? a journal maybe share some pics of mini set up ?
keep er lit.

Sup bro... you pretty good with DIY COB design???There's a lot of options available, I would recommend learning to DIY an LED: you can build something really really good for the price of an HPS/CMH, ballast and hood. Tag me @Senseimillan if you feel overwhelmed and need someone to help make sense of it all for you.

Your good ,,, very good,,,I don't know if I'm good at it but I've been reading about cobs and quantum boards and drivers and spectrum and par/PPFD for the last couple years.
I remember initially being so overwhelmed with switching to LED that I just bought 4x Amare Technologies SS150CRs because I knew that I wanted white spectrum for full terpene and phytochemical development within the cannabis plant. However, almost as soon as I got them I wished I had just spent the time to learn about the DIY options.
So I did, and I determined that if I were building cobs, I'd get CXB3590s 80cri 1 COB per sq ft. I was learning about driving them (I would drive them with a B series meanwell driver so that I could control the PWM dimming feature with an arduino in the future) when I came across Quantum Boards. So I was more interested in the low profile aspect of the Quantum boards and heatsinks because of the style of growing I plan to do in the future, and I ordered those.
LOL as soon as I ordered those, I learned about ChilLED boards, and I wanted to kick myself in the ass. Because I really really like those boards
So, I'm in the process of actually building my first LED which is 4x Quantum Board QB304s powered by 2x Meanwell HLG-320H-C2800B, I'll be running them likely around 50% power for efficiency and because I plan to run inches away from the canopy.
Anyway, like I said, it can be really overwhelming when faced with all the options and opinions. I can help make sense of the technicalities and boil it down into what's actually going to be most beneficial for you based on your space and budget, and then you can decide from a place of understanding rather than confusion and haste.
Yeah, I plan on building one. Gotta decide on my exact quare footage. Then compile a parts list then fill it in so to speak. There's a lot of options available, I would recommend learning to DIY an LED: you can build something really really good for the price of an HPS/CMH, ballast and hood.
