I've covered all places were the light was hitting water I'm also planning on moving pumps outside ov room I've also got fan pointing at pumps. I can also add another two way air pump. I can keep my room temp at 22 easily wich keeps rez between 18 + 20. Is the room temp ok. Also the silicon was in a clear bottle and iv had it a year so I chucked it and got new one I also changed rez. Also is there anything u need me to take photos ov. And am I right in thinking not to use flash when taking photos of roots. It's hard to do one handed

these would help your res issues & increase yield considerably mate ...think of them as an essential upgrade if your planning on doing a few DWC grows & want high yields ...get it right & they will pay for themselves 1st grow & you prob wont need an expensive chiller !... the turbulence these create in the res stops bacteria taking hold & oxygenates the nutes close to 100% which is the reason DWC works so well ....without those bubbles all the nutes & light ect are unable to do ther job to there full potential .... its like having a fast motorbike but covering up the air intake so it runs like a bag of shit !

all photos are great Smerky :kusht: reflective mylar on the lids help block light leaks & bounce the light off the buckets & drop the temps as well bro ...

the silica can wait till next res change ... I would say go half strength with the zym in the brummie if your using it ....just coz the res is so big & it will last longer ...

Hi,

I have tried different air tubes en stones but i find no brand air curtains the best, cheap and good at expanding your air trough your your bucket!
If you have a heat problem in your buckets and you live in a cold climate place your airpump outside !

Cheers mate I'm waiting on more airline so I can place pumps outside. I will gt chiller and iv looked at air blankets before so I may aswell gt a couple. Gt to go sweet talk wife now all being well I'll gt chiller and pump on order. Wish me luck lol

I have a couple of lil computer fans blowing directly on my pums (hailea 60l and 100l) and have had no problems since then. Pumps stay cool now

Oh yeah before I forget at wat level should the water be from bottom ov net pot mines at about an inch is that ok

I recommend the pumps & decent ceramic stones over the air cushions & chiller but it all helps ! ... good luck with the other half mate:xlaugh:

It's the dust from clay pebble I've been pouring nutes threw pebbles and the dust has stuck to roots my mate said to gt spray bottle fill with phed water and use spray to clean roots is that ok to do

haha ...I have the same dust on baby roots right now mate ... yup ,spray bottle cleans them off & top feeding the nutes or water through the pebbles will help clear it . Make the effort next res change to do a proper clean & flush the pebbles again & it should clear eventually ... make sure the spray water is at room temps :smoke:

you will need 8mm air line for the pumps if you get them & maybe a couple 8mm connectors for attaching to the pumps & ditching the multi line manifold thing that you get with them :tiphat: :Sharing One:
