Live Stoner Chat High Times Top 40 from 1977

bring's back memorie's:grin: in 77 i had been smoking for 14 year's, and have had just about everything on the list:smoke: but, we had some strain's that were better than any on that list. there was this red weed, from mexico, that had 20" bud's and came packaged in curtian rod box's:Sharing One:i dont remember where in mexico it was grown.:dunno:but the best still to this day.... was a strain from jamaicia, called lambsbread, it was sold before it was in the country, at $300 an ounce, in the late 70's, when everybody heard it was coming, sold out in an hour.
:Sharing One:also we had a source for a strain of what was called, purple afgani, it was killer. cool thread rr!:bow::slap:had to smack ya ! for bringing a big smile to my face:Sharing One:

I miss the pure strains. Acapulco Gold was wonderful. Columbian was great.
Had some jamaican that gave me tunnel vision. Panama Red was a kick in the head

A lot of things are better now, but I'd give a lot if I could get some of that
old time rock n roll.

oh yea the lambsbread! :Sharing One:

its actually Rumored To Be Bob Marley’s Favorite Strain and is frequently mentioned in his music :d5:

in the late 70's
spot on bro! :) quote review: yeah i believe the lambs bread is a mix of O Haze x skunk it makes sense if you ever had this strain completely organic you can taste both strains prominently also it makes sense because this strain came out of Jamaica late 70's early 80's when skunk was the main hybridized strain before kush became popular and haze was the pride of Jamaica during that time too so it makes sense in both time and flavor.

Cheers 420a :d5:

ahhh the memories :Sharing One:

id kill for that ugly weed nowadays , total mind fuk and never wanting a couch

peace

Thai, Columbian, Jamacian and Hawaiian, the top choices of the day and the basis of many of today's top strains. Everything pretty much looked like that back then. The thinking regarding the bud leaves was different. Where today everyone wants to see well trimmed buds, back then the bud leaves were left on because they helped to protect the trics and keep them from getting knocked off too easily.

i would LOVE to get a toke of any of those strains. a few years back I was in India n i got some bud that looked like most of that. Funny thing was that it was the strongest stuff i've ever smoked up to this point. a very small joint between two people gave me one of the strongest n most psychedelic highs I've ever had. Surprisingly enough stronger than taking a dab or two.

I really like the looks of the old school weed!
Totally natural looking, probably tasty and a different kind of high.

Gotta make a time machine, or maybe just grow some old school:)

*some of my untrimmed Chaze(sativa pheno) buds look kind of similar to the colombian gold. I love it!

I wonder if 3O years from now I'll be looking at high times 2007... like" eww Look at that Platinum Og Kush"

Unless you lived in Cali, smoking bud was unheard of until the early 80's. You bought a bag of weed, it was ground/crushed leaf, maybe some bud, and seeds. I never even heard of Thai Stick until about 1983, and even then it had seed in it! Sinsemilla? what kinda weed is that???........
