New Grower Himalaya Blue Diesel

Very cool, are you going to try another grow? Would hate to see you go if getting a nice dwarf strain is the difference. I'd recommend anything off the Dragon Master menu, they stay compact and can be managed easily in a small space.

I'm not going to grow another plant for awhile knowing that I'll have buds coming my way in 6 or 8 weeks from now. Dwarfs are what I grow, so thanks for the dragons suggestion. I'll take a look at their strains. :Riding the Dragon:

Does sweet seeds' cream caramel get very big?

That should be a good choice...in a smallish container, you should get a nice sized plant based on what I've seen people grow here.

Hi Microwave,
I just thought I'd let you know about my experiences with HBD. Basically they are pretty much the same as yours, I have also have feminised seeds and so far none of them have flowered without reducing the day length. Infact, the only one that I have managed to recover any bud off was flowered under 12:12 right the way through - usually I would only have an auto on 12:12 for a couple of weeks at most if it needed extra persuasion to flower. So far I've grown 4 and none have autoflowered, and I am seriously considering just binning the other 6 seeds as growing them has just been so much hassle compared to a true autoflower.
I assumed that it was old seed stock from an early generation of the strain (perhaps one that shouldn't really have been released as an autoflower for a few more years), and switched my retail seed supplier (I didn't get mine from Herbies, so the problem isn't just with them). It looks highly unlikely that I will try any of the Short Stuff strains again, as I had quite a few similar issues (although less serious) with a pack of MI5 I got at the same time.
Hope you manage to get some buds, it was a nice smoke when it eventually arrived.
Cheers,
The Doctor

Thanks for sharing your similar experience Dr. Who. I'll pass on this info. to my friend who's growing it at 12/12 now. I had seen pics. of this strain and read smoke reports before trying to grow it and thought it would be small with a powerful bud. Glad to know that it wasn't just me...

Thanks low and slow for confirming that I should have enough space to grow cream caramel. I won't be growing anything for some time, but that strain may be my next grow.

Cheers

Any updates on this? Did the plant finish out? Looking forward to hearing a smoke report!

Another 4 weeks or so and I should have some buds to post pics. of. "pher Wiggle"

Another week of flushing then 2 weeks to dry, and then I'll have HBD photo bud porn pics. (uncured) to upload!

Here's a pic. of a few of the HBD photo buds. They're huge! They're also a very light green colour and have a diesel smell. Keep in mind that it's only been 3 weeks since these buds were harvested, so the smell may change as the cure continues.

I tried a bit of one last night and it's a real keeper. Extreme couchlock stone that went to work immediately on my stomach issues. Just what I wanted when I planted the bean last November, too bad it turned out to be a photo and I had to wait almost 6 months for the buds. Patience is a virture I suppose...

I'll do a smoke report on this HBD photo a bit later. Enjoy the bud porn. "pher Wiggle"
