3 parts 20% H2O2 to 17 parts water is 3% H2O2. That's a total 20 parts. Divide 1000ml by 20, and it's 50ml per part.

Answer: 150ml 20% H2O2 mixed with 850ml water = 3% H2O2.

This is a video showing how to figure out dilution of a stronger strength to a weaker strength. It's actually very easy using "allegation" what looks like "tic-tac-toe." To find similar videos, google for "pharmacy technician allegation calculation."
