Hi all just wondering what hobbies people have i do metal detecting had some really nice finds had my best find yesreday my first gold coin george 111 1/3 guinea 1803 any one else metal detected

Hello Beal. I just started back up hunting after many years off.I bought a Garret 250 last year and found a few old coins but nothing special.Have to wait til the weather warms up and the ground thaws before I can get out.I found out that a pin pointer comes in real handy so i'm going to buy one from Garret soon.

Hi namvet pinpointers are very good i have one makes the a lot easyer and i use a xp goldmaxx great machine

I watch you tube videos of people detecting and most of them use the Garret AT pro but that is a little to spendy for me right now and my 250 works just fine.Maybe we can talk later in the spring when I get out.

Hi guys, I played at it a few times with no great finds. But, if you ever get to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl beach, Drop by the Premier Motel and if the owner is still around you will have a treat. He hunts either walking or diving the very popular beach every morning, for decades. When I was there he broke out just a few cigar boxes of treasures he'd found. Coins from all over the globe and calendar, and the gold jewelry, gems, oddities. Did I mention gold?
You can recognize him by the huge nugget ring created from a few of his finds. It's probably a bracelet by now.
He loves to talk it and there were clippings in the office where he found stuff identifiable years after lost and returned it to grateful owners.
