How Far to Place Light

ok so I'm starting a Autofkower grow using these things:

Growing 3 Auto Strains from seed: Blue Dream, Berry Bomb & 60 Day Lemon

Tent: 2x4x5

Lights: 400w HPS

Pots: 5 gallons

Soil: Kind Soil w/ Fox Farm

Basically what I'm asking is that I am now germinating the seeds and they have all germinated. My question is how far do I put the light from the pot once I put the germinated seed? Everything else I have a great handle on, I just am having some trouble figuring this part of the equation. I will not be transplanting these Plants. Where they are going is where they will be fore the duration of the run. Any ideas and help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Try around 30" to start and see how the temperature is at the pot.. if they seem to stretch too much you can lower the light..

I have used hps and hps de in all my grows ,I started with a 400 ,is it dimmable? Duggys advice is good .is it air cooled?
