Was clearing out a cupboard and found a couple of jars of bud i grew about 4 years back that i had forgotten all about. I think one was a morrocan something or other and the other might have been an afghani kush. Anyhow, they are kind of brown looking and smell, well, a bit pissy to be honest. I am wondering if i can use them to make hash?
Opinions welcome.

I also have some bud froma couple of years ago which i am going to use for my first bubble hash adventure. And i am abit concerned that the pissy weed might ruin it.

Most of the nasty bits are associated with the leafy stuff. If you make hash the trichs should be ok. It may suck it may not, but it won't hurt you if you smoke it.

Thanks, maybe i will make a trial run at making hash using the pissy weed? Then i will have a better idea of what im doing for the newer bud! Also, is it a good idea to throw the trichs from my grinder in with the bud when im making hash?

I forgot to mention, if it's moldy you're on your own.
As i recall, that seasons grow was really damp and i lost afair bit to mould. But there doesnt appear to be any in thejars. Will of course check them carefully bud by bud and disgard any that look mouldy first.

What is the risk of making hash with mouldy bud? Is it health or that it will ruin the hash?

Both

It can ruin the flavor / taste

Its very easy to tell if old bud is moldy, and pissy smells generally are not mold related. If the Hash is made correctly that smell most likely will not transfer
