Sure, once you get it dialed in, have no power failures and trust the valves to run smoothly. Don't forget to use a drip cleaning agent to prevent clogging/residue build up and limescale deposits.
Autopots is my favorite because there is no electricity involved, no run off, the plants constantly have water available, no water and "cheap" nutes are wasted, AND the plants can be turned without hoses/water lines being in the way. All you need to do is fill the tank every 2-7 days with water and your preferred nutes and such, depending on how large a tank, or reservoir if you prefer, you go for.
The 6 AU's I have growing in 25 L Autopots drinks app. 20-25 L in total per day now that they are well into flowering: I would imagine if you had 6 plants of the AU caliber in 30 L Airpots the water consumption would be much higher.
@A Gardener I do have nicely compacted "bowls" in the airpots (22,5 L), but unless I'm real careful and sloooooow, there will runoff through the side holes, and the larger the airpot used, the more water it will be able to hold and thus time to saturate it without runoff increases.
