New Grower How many Reg seeds to germ? Keeping 1 best plant

Hello! I only have room for one plant, and have a bunch of reg seeds to germinate. I want to waste as few seeds as possible, but I also want to germinate & start to grow enough plants so that I have at least one healthy girl to grow through to harvest.

How many regular seeds do you think I should germ in order to safely bet that I will have at least 1 healthy female? 4-5?

That number (4-5) would be a fair minimum unless one were breeding or looking for a mother plant. Non-feminised is working in your favor in terms of girls being all girl. Statistics would say 3 out of 5, female--so best out of three--

Thanks, Humboldt. I figure that 4-5 seeds should be OK. But, I have heard some horror stories about germing 20 seeds and only getting 3-4 healthy plants out of it.

I have a 4-month window of grow time until the in-laws come from out of town to visit and I want to have some smoke by then, or I will have to wait until after they leave...I can keep germing until I succeed, but I can only do a full grow if my female plant is healthy & living in 3 weeks or so.

Its hit and miss with regs i germed out 6 Dragons and got 6 males lol then i germed out 9 and got 5 FEMs i always Germ Regs in 6's I did 9 as i had 3 spare beans..:smokebuds:
