can you tell me how much it will cost? high and low estimate?
for a diy, 300watt , 6 cob system.

and how many auto flowers plants could I grow under this?

can you tell me what you think the best led light set up combination would be for 24hr auto flower grow?

any other advise or help I would be thankful for. thanks

Welfome to afn!

First off if your goal is 300w I would recommend going with 8 cobs vs 6 since there is a limited list of drivers available. You could drive them a little softer to achieve 300w and also gain efficiency this way. Going with a citizen cob the total cost would bring your total up around $50 which is well worth it. If that sounds good I would be happy to make you a list based on the 8 cobs. Also you could stretch the plant count a little this way too. 6 cobs would do 4 plants well and 8 cobs could do 6 plants. It would be a little under powered with 6 but still an option.

Not to pull the questions and comments away from the forum I did get a message from -hello. Hopefully with some help we can get him going on a nice custom cob light. In return for our efforts I suggested a small build journal. Considering the budget and requirements I think this will come out pretty damn sweet and well worth following along.

thanks a lot for helping me on this. I will post my progress here. thanks

The goal for this light is high efficiency without going to crazy. 8 cobs for just around 300 watts total wattage.

This would give you 35w per cob
8- clu048-1812
2-hlg-120h-c700
8-ideal chip lock holders. I don't remember the model number has to fit clu04xx
8- sst-105 or sst-120 pin fin heatsinks

Second option is a little cheaper and less efficient but still very good

This would give you 38 watts per cob.
8-clu048-1212
2 hlg-240h-c1050
8-bjb holders
8-sst-105 or 120 pin fin heatsinks
